My wife and I like India food we came to this place and the food, service and beer are great
Very good place to come and eat if you love India food great service
The platter for two with an assortment of flavors comes highly recommended with the grilled shrimp, roasted lamb, salmon in combination with the beef curry platter. The atmosphere is colorful.Purple lights, blue bulbs, centered around the salad dishes with spinach and yogurt styled sauces with dips. The spices still stick in my memory. The taste will probably last all night. The flavors were strong. We had to ask about the flavors because of the combinations. Downtown DTLV, which is nice for waltzing around Fremont Street Experience. Right across the street from El Cortez Casino, Founded by Bugsy Siegel and across from the Downtown Container Park on Fremont Street, where we bought tiny, unique music boxes at Kappa Toys for our friends. Turmeric has a large dining room fit for comfort that we would not have found near Kappa Toys inside the Container Park. Turmeric is a nice comfortable restaurant across the street from Container Park. The restaurant also has rooftop dining, which we would have enjoyed on a hot day in summer. Try the platter combining the flavors if you want to try a little of every taste, because the dishes were broad. The menu is diverse.
Attentive service and authentic Indian dishes make this great choice for dinner. The menu has some original creations, too. The lamb rogan josh and chicken tikka masala were excellent. They offer spice "heat" levels of 1 to 10 and 5 was hot enough for me. You won't be disappointed
My experience at Turmeric was great... The menu was so good, I had the Lamb chops with a yellow/brown sauce (w/side of white rice) the Flavors of the sauce were bold and it made you feel like you were in India. This does not taste like any American version of Indian food. Try the Salmon Carpaccio (side) & the eggplant appetizer. Fremont needed this type of Restaurant. The reason we went there was because Robin Leach (Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous show) wrote a little article saying how good it was. So we had to try it. BTW: upstairs at Turmeric is like a night club with an awesome view of Fremont street...
It was amazing!! Never had a stuffed nan bread before and we ordered it and it was just one of the best things ever!!! And the cauliflower appetizer we was delicious!! Thank you, thank you for such amazing food
The vegan menu was huge! Ate family-style with a large group so we all got to sample quite a few items. Everything was absolutely delicious!
Excellent! The amazing flavors and presentation of food makes this a MUST dine experience while in Las Vegas! Our waiter was so friendly and kindly explained things to us since this was my friends first time experiencing Indian Cuisine. Highly recommend and will be back the next time I am in Las Vegas!
Amazing!!! This place made my first time having Indian cuisine one to remember!! The atmosphere was relaxing, our waiter was excellent and the food was so tasteful. Can't wait to come back!
Amazing bar/restaurant with a great happy hour, they have a fantastic tapas menu with plenty of choices to share. Rooftop has live music throughout the week as well as one of the best views of Fremont!
Food was excellent!!! Some of the best I have ever had. The service was also excellent. Highly recommend.
Staff real friendly and food was great.
Would recommend it to anyone
visiting Las Vegas
This place nice ambience and food is good too. Although for my order I have to wait a little longer (I arrived at the restaurant at 9:15 PM and they take last order at 9:30 pm). Food was delicious and staff was courteous only thing I did not like the dinner plate they use, dinner plate has a design which makes the plate look dirty unless you see it closely. This place is very close to downtown area so if you want to enjoy Indian food its close by. There is no free parking available so either you have to park in paid parking lot and find a spot on the road with metered parking.
The food was AMAZING however the service was not..... The three of us ordered one biryani and one butter chicken because we were informed that the food was family style and there would be plenty.
We soon ran out of food and wanted to order more, however our waiter was nowhere to be found. We hung around for another 15 minutes before I decided to inquire with the bartender - he informed us that our waiter was probably upstairs with the rest of the wait staff. At this point we decided to leave and the bartender comp-ed us the meal.
Quite honestly I am willing to give this place another try because the food was delicious.
Delicious Indian food on E Fremont with a nice atmosphere. Service is a little slow, but the food is worth the wait. Just order an appetizer or a drink. Large portions, we both ended up getting to-go boxes. I got a spice level of 6 and was very happy with my dish, the Chicken Vindaloo.
I went here with a group of friends on Sunday night (Thanksgiving weekend) and it was surprising to see only a handful of tables occupied. This place has nice ambience, full bar, lots of indoor seating as well as some outdoor seating.
The appetizers and drinks on the menu were a very creative take on Indian food, whereas the entrees were mostly traditional. We decided to try a bunch of appetizers and some drinks. The Gobi Manchurian was pretty good, so were the Pani Puri shots. The Aloo Paratha was meh, and the Samosa tasted nothing like it should.
What could be better than Mango Lassi? Mango Lassi mixed with alcohol! They have something called Spiked Mango Lassi in the menu. I was excited to try it. The cocktail was nice, but I was disappointed that it only had a hint of taste of Mango Lassi.
Overall, it was a good experience. I will give it 3 stars for the food and an extra star for creativity. If this restaurant was on the strip, there's no doubt it would be packed all the time.
Chef Harish prepared a really good 3 course meal for us. Loved the malai kofta with butter and garlic naan. If you enjoy fusion food, then this place is a must try.
Food was decent and some of yhebitems were above par. We liked the food here but place is very expensive. It is part of bar area and if you with kids then you can sit inside (behind bar) or they have few chairs outside. Service was excellent and people there were very friendly. You can walk from Fremont street and it is opposite container place. I am taking 1star out just for being very expensive.
Food is exceptionally delicious. And we ahve eaten at so many Indian restaurants in North American region and this one stands out the best. And the menu is just awesome! We are vegetarians and we just love the dosas and uttapams. Dont miss the green kofta (palak paneer kofta) lunch special. Its different but delicious! Great eatery all in all. Have eaten here 3 times in our 2 days stay in Vegas!
After having breads and tacos for consecutive 2 days being an Indian I was searching for Indian restaurant that’s open on Monday.. only result came up was this amazing restaurant.. homely preparations, right portion, fresh ingredients describes the dishes served here.. must stop!!
We stopped here for a light lunch and so happy that we did... Such friendly staff, the food quality and flavours were amazing and at very affordable prices! We got the chilli chicken and masala dosa - highly recommend both items. We can't wait to come back and try more items from the menu!
Been here almost every day during my stay in Vegas. Serves excellent quality food. Had my dinner on the first day to Vegas here, and left Vegas after doing lunch from here too. Extremely good food, good service and nice atmosphere too.
Food and service was absolutely amazing. Decent prices too. I would return in a heartbeat if I come back to visit.
They easily handled a larger group (7 ppl) and a split check was not a problem.
The food is great!!! The service is slow. We went here for lunch with a group of 6 and it took almost an hour for the food. They also include a service charge for having a group. So don't go this restaurant on your lunch break unless you have 2 hours or more for your lunch.
Great food. Presentation of the food was good. And we loved their appetizers especially gobhi Manchurian and papdi chat. Gazar halwa with vanilla ice cream as dessert was super awesome! What I didn't like was, they had already added 20% gratuity for a party of 4 including 2 kids. It shouldn't be a forced tip.
I have tried Indian food at many places but only a few places could do justice to authentic Indian food and this place for sure is one of those few places.
Amazing food. Ordered from the Vegan menu and the food was so good I couldn't stop eating!
If you love Indian food, then this is the spot for you. Hands down the best company that knows how to cater a true experience when you dine in, and blow your mind with the quality of the food. Go for the chicken vindaloo if you enjoy spicy stuff, or mild it down a little with the chicken tikka masala. You can never go wrong with the garlic basil Naan bread! Go treat yourself with the best Indian food in NV.
The food, atmosphere, and service are fantastic. Cannot recommend it enough. I had the Tofu Kofta Korma, delicious!
