It's old and cool for sure, and if you're up here on the top of the world, a great stop for a drink, a bite to eat, an eclectic bunch of folks, and lots of eye candy on the walls.
A bar that Doc Holiday drank at back around 1879. Elizabeth makes the best Margaritas. Interesting menu items like chicken fried yak. 5 stars all the way.
My wife and I entered this saloon around 8:00 pm with the intention of having a drink and dinner. Unfortunately, the kitchen was closed -- it was a slow night during CoVID times. The bartender, however, made some excellent suggestions on where we could feed ourselves. He then proceeded to tell us that although the official close time of his bar is 10:00 pm that night, it'll probably be open until midnight and please return for an after-dinner drink.
His dinner suggestion turned out to be outstanding and we did return for an after-dinner drink.
He served us fabulous drinks just by asking a couple of simple questions on our preferences. Also related the storied history of the bar.
The bar has a genuine Wild West atmosphere and much of the memorabilia inside is original and authentic to the bar.
Also, as the evening proceeded, various and sundry characters came and left. Many knew one another. A cop also came and hailed the bartender. He was there just to make sure everything was ok.
One can spend hours here just soaking in the atmosphere and people watching. What a place!
There's enough decor to explore in this restaurant to last an entire six pack. The bar mantle itself is also worth a visit of it's own. No beer on tap, but the cans are reasonably priced.
Definitely stop by here. Old saloon with so much history and good food & drinks!
If you are in/around Leadville, CO this saloon is definitely worth your time to stop in & grab a bite, a drink, or both. So much history in this place - it feels like you have seriously stepped right back into the 1800's!! Unbelievable!
I had their sliced brisket sandwich (not listed on the menu because it was a temporary special) and a Bloody Mary.

Staff was great, very attentive even though very busy. Good drinks, good pours. Just had appetizers for a light lunch - LOVE their wings! Onion rings also good.
Limited menu after 6pm, avg cocktails, with so much history and memorabilia throughout the entire place!!
