My wife and I were there last night for our Anniversary. Without a doubt the best Anniversary dinner yet. We arrived to our booth and there were confetti hearts on the table. The menu said "Happy Anniversary" at the top. Our server Chico was definitely one of the best servers we have ever had. What a great evening!

Amazing food!! One of the top restaurants in KC. Our server, Chico, was the most amazing server we have ever had. He made our anniversary dinner so special, with mock cocktails for the kids, special drinks for us, he upgraded my husband's filet, added a side and sent us home with a free dessert. The service from the entire staff was impeccable! So, so impressed. Thank you Chico and 801 Chophouse for an evening we'll never forget!
From the moment we walked in the door the service was top notch, our waiter was fabulous! He took the time to answer any questions that we had. The Ribeye steak was amazing! I would also definitely recommend their scalloped potatoes and lobster Mac-n-cheese! It was a great place to celebrate our anniversary! We will definitely be back!!
Amazing experience! The best steak (medium 12 oz filet) we've ever had, and we recently ate at Plaza III. Our server, Chiko, provided exemplary upscale and first-class service without being pretentious. Would highly recommend!

My woman and I came here for dinner last night using a Groupon she'd purchases a while back. Our server, Chico, was without any exaggeration the best server we'd ever had. For us, that is saying something because we are foodies so we've eaten at a lot of different restaurants! He went above and beyond our expectations! Chico was extremely knowledgeable about the food, including how items are prepared, the different cuts of steak, the best preparation for each cut, & which sides were best with which cut! As if that wasn’t enough, he was also hilarious & enjoyable to talk to, which very much contributed to our experience! We started with the Down Home Sauteed Jumbo Shrimp, which was very delicious! She ordered the Roast Prime Rib, I was craving a KC Strip prepared with Cognac Butter - Portabella Mushroom Ragout, and then we split the Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Lobster Macaroni and Cheese, and Mushroom Pan Roast. Both steaks were scrumptious & definitely some of the best steaks I’d ever had. All 3 sides were incredible, especially the Mushroom Pan Roast! Overall, everything about this place was fantastic from the moment we stepped into the restaurant until we left! I’m very much looking forward to visiting again. I’m really looking forward to trying here on Sunday when they offer three-courses for only $33.
What a great meal. Our server spent a lot of time making sure we understood all facets of the menu -- drinks, entrees, sides, etc., which led us to a dinner we won't soon forget. We will be looking forward to returning.
Great service! Amazing food, and the staff is very knowledgeable. Great place for a special night, for us it was just an ordinary night. We didn't feel like cooking and we had gift cards. Even without the gift cards, it's still worth every penny.
One of our favorite restaurants! Excellent food and outstanding service. The Troon cocktail is so refreshing and crab cakes a delight! Lobster corn chowder shouldn't be missed. You really can't go wrong here, great happy hour!!

We loved this place! Awesome waiters, delicious food, and a superb experience! We had a party of 8 and enjoyed the porterhouse, delmonico, garlic mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese, lobster corn chowder, 801 chophouse salad...everything was amazing!
The steaks & sea food are outstanding, service excellent. I know they're going for cozy romantic atmosphere but a little too dark. Hard to see menu.
Great Food/Service. Our waitress (Camille) was exceptional and the food very good. We did spend a ton of money there, but plan to return. The sides are served family style and the steak presentation is worth the time to see.
