Used to come here all the time stopped for awhile because it just went down hill as far as service and cleanliness. But I'm so glad that a friend told me about the new owner. She is wonderful. And Ms Linda is such a delight. Food is cooked very well. Comes out in timely fashion. Bathrooms are clean.
Haven't been to Steak 'n Shake in years. Ordering is now done at customer-friendly touch-screen kiosks making it easy to customize and pay for your order. The chili 5-way was very good. And so was the strawberry shake (half-price between 2 and 4)
We haven’t been inside a Steak ‘n Shake in years - what a wonderfully incredible change!! This store was super clean and now they have ordering kiosks and a drink refill station. It’s truly a fast food place now! Someone calls out your name when your order is ready so I’d suggest having a little fun with that!
It's fast food, and you wait on yourself at a kiosk. But they still ask for a tip. I don't get it. Sorry! I must be old-school about this.
Food is generally okay. I like their milkshakes more than the food. Thick onion slices and long pieces of pickles make it more difficult to eat a sandwich. They should be diced and/or smaller.
Place is generally clean. Senior workers are a great idea - they pay attention! Younger staff is friendly and efficient.
Not a fan of skinny fries. Prices have not risen as much as at other restaurants - that's a good thing.
I use to have a horrible impression of this place about 5 years ago but now this place is absolutely amazing!!! I have been going here again for the past couple months and all the food is phenomenal for a fast food place. I even went to Culver’s that I was so excited for and it couldn’t even begin to compare to the burgers and fries from steak and shake. This will always be my go to place now and I hope they can overcome the bad reputation that they use to have because this is the best place around now!
This may be the last place that serves fresh food. Hamburgers are grilled not microwaved. Sandwiches are assembled with care not slopped together. You can taste all the condiments in every bite. Fries are shoestring and should probably be eaten first. (They cool off quickly). Each order is prepared when ordered so it is served fresh off the grill.
Had an amazing meal here at steak n shake today. The kiosks were perfect. 4 different families were all able to order meals, including mine, simultaneously! The food was perfect, even included our customizations. There is a wonderful dining area assistant that was available in case we needed help throughout our dining experience.
This is the "new" technology. We used the inside kiosk for ordering today. It's so simple to click what you want to eat and pay right there. There's a very nice counter person who will hand you your food. This is very personable. The store was clean and ready to serve you. We had chili dogs and french fries 🍟 made fresh. This is not your local fast food joint.. this is all "cooked to order" and it takes a few minutes longer.. nothing sitting in drawers. We will go back and try the burgers 🍔 😋
Steak and shake has some of the best burgers hands down. The 4.99 double cheeseburger with fries is such a good deal with prices everywhere else have sky rocketed. I wish I had one near me because I would be there all the time.
First time I've been to one in a long time and it kind of freaked me out that the only way you could order food is by the kiosk there are no waitresses anymore which is kind of nice because I felt no obligation to leave a tip which made my meal that much cheaper. But the food that was delivered out to the counter for me to pick up was very good.
I like Steak ‘n Shake! A lot of people sleep on this restaurant. Those who don’t would agree that Steak ‘n Shake is a great place to grab a bite to eat! Some may say even better then McDonald’s! They blow them out of the water with prices! And they’re food is great!
Went there to eat dinner there's no servers there you have to use a kiosk and then they'll call you to the counter for your food. The manager was amazing. Told her I had a peanut allergy but really would like to have a she made sure that the machine was cleaned. Thank you so much
Food was great I creamed my panties over that garlic double. Mmmm so good! Only 4 stars cause we didn't get our food for free and they forgot our whipped cream and my cherry (anyone's favorite part of a milkshake) which was disappointing but I'll forgive them.
