We celebrated a special occasion with a large group of 20 on an evening they were short staffed. Despite this, service was wonderful and food was delicious! Our server was lovely & efficient even cheerfully managed separate checks!
My partner and I moved out of state a couple years ago and we still talk about how much we miss this place. This was my favorite restaurant growing up. Whenever I’m back in town I always make an effort to get my usual house salad and baked ziti. Fantastic food for amazing prices.
Small local family owned. Plenty of dining room. We ordered take out. Pizza & Wings we’re good we enjoyed it. It’s been a while after closing our shop to find an original New York style pizza that doesn’t taste like commercial franchise pizza.
Great restaurant and even better service! I asked if they had garlic butter and instead of saying they didn’t, the owner went out of his way to make me fresh garlic butter. Food was also phenomenal, if you’re looking for a wholesome place to eat with your family please come to Giovanni’s they’re amazing!
Picked up a Meat Lover's Chicago Style.....asked for it "Do not cut".....hot, delicious, uncut, great pizza! Fast, courteous service and really nice people working there.

Ordered online for pick up, got there with extra time so decided to dine in. I get that there may have been some confusion, but we were walked by many times and had to go to the counter to get service. There were only two servers and people were left sitting for a bit before being taken care of. Tables were not being cleared. Food was delicious!
We were coming home from a trip and needed to eat. We've been to Giovanni's before and stopped for a pizza and some pasta. We ordered a marguerita pizza, lignin with calamari, olive oil and garlic, and a Caesar salad. The server brought out the pizza, apologized that it was a little overcooked and offered to make us another. It didn't look bad, and we both like a crisp crust so said we'd try it. It was a little overdone but not badly, had no "tip droop", and was well flavored. We kept it, and we're given a discount at the end. Good service always matters. We left a nice tip.

Nicolas I think I hope that's right, was our waiter and he was amazing!!!!! Super attentive and kind. The food was incredible we had the veggie pizza and super thin and crispy. So good. My husband has the antipasto salad and it was massive.

From a true Jersey girl, this place reminds me of home. The pizza is ALWAYS amazing (true NYC style pizza, not the fake stuff people claim is NYC style), the ziti and lasagna… ** chefs kiss** this is the only pizza place I order from and coming from a picky eater that says a lot.
Delicious pizza. What else is there to say? If it didn’t make me super fat I could probably eat here every da my of my life and die a happy man.
Prices of ingredients have not changed Giovanni’s portions or prices!!!
I ordered roasted red peppers and didn’t get a sliver but 1/2 of pepper on my pizza!

Moving to NOVA from NYC, it has been really hard to find a real authentic Italian restaurant. The pizza was great, and the pasta was amazing. Big portions and fair prices. Great service and attention by the owner and waitress. We'll be coming back! 👍
Kudos to the crew at Giovanni's for handling Super Bowl orders in a timely manner. Our calzones were perfectly prepared and delicious. I would have given them 5 stars but the ordering app leaves much to be desired. When you order online you have no idea how long your order will take and you aren't notified until your food is already done. I wish the app would give an approximate wait time so I would be better prepared to pick up my order while it's still hot.
We are regular customers of Giovanni's (dine-in and take-out) as the pizza and other goodies are always very tasty and reasonably priced, and the staff is extraordinarily friendly. We ordered and picked-up our food for an early dinner, and realized a fresh salad was missing, so we contacted staff and they left a stickie on their board, so that we can grab the salad for lunch one day this week. My wife usually does the shopping, so shame on me for not checking our bags, as staff always leaves warm take-out food on top of the oven, which should have clued-me-in on the missing salad (per my wife).
One of the best steak & Cheese subs I've had in many years. Quality ingredients that others seem to always start out with. Then to make more money, they start to buy cheap ingredients. Not Giovanni's. I'd love to hear what you think, taste for yourself.
