Wow!!! I’ve been trying to find my go-to Thai spot in the area, and after months of searching and lots of subpar Thai food eaten, I’ve FINALLY found it!!
I was already excited to try it just by looking at photos and reviews. I tried calling to order takeout last Friday around 5:30, but it was over an hour wait! So today I called shortly after they opened and my food was ready in 15 minutes.
I got the spicy basil fried rice and I was impressed even before trying it. It was so heavy! (Yes, I had to weigh it at home on my food scale, and it was nearly 2 pounds.) When I tried it, I was blown away. This is what I have been looking for! The flavors are amazing, the rice is perfect, the meat is plentiful. There are also so many vegetables in the fried rice, which I really appreciate. I got it mild (sometimes you never know if medium will be too spicy) and couldn’t really taste any spice, so I’ll know in the future to get the next step up. But it was all so, so good.
I will definitely be back here many times!
The BEST pad Thai I have ever had, by far (and I have eaten at MANY Thai restaurants over the years!). The Green Curry is also excellent, as is the cashew nut stir fry. If you’re anywhere near Leesburg, you must check this out (and get gas while you’re at it)!
The food was excellent!! The fried rice , the Pad Thai , the Crying Tiger Beef was a surprise and the best dish we tried !!
It’s been said before here, “Thai food at a gas station”? YES! Stopped by for a quick meal and ended up staying for a couple of hours. Not being too keen on Thai food the staff was patient, helpful and our orders were prepared quickly. We ordered Spring Rolls, Tom Kha soup, Pad Thai, Tamarind Chicken and their seasonal Pumpkin Red Curry. Everything was delicious and their portions were big enough that 4 of us were able to share and taste all the dishes. Definitely recommend!!!
Literally shook that this restaurant is located in a gas station! But don't judge a book by it's cover because their Thai food is pretty good, and servings don't look like a lot of first, but my friend and I were FULL by the time we finished. Definitely a hidden gem, if you're looking for affordable and yummy Thai food.
The restaurant itself is pretty small and intimate, and it seems like a lot of returning customers do takeout here. There is a door from the restaurant that leads into the gas station. The service was great though! Staff is young and always making sure that my friend and I were accommodated.
**Note: parking is a bit limited, but there is street parking if there's no parking at the gas station. And if you need to use the bathroom, you'll need to use the bathroom in the gas station.
Solid Thai food!
I got some red curry for take out.
The place is really small and shares a small parking lot with the gas station.
Personally, I am not into Thai food that much. It is my wife's choice and she has exposed me to it. I had heard from two friends, this place was really good so I told my wife. Last night we stopped in for the first time.
This is an example of "never judge a book by its cover", it is attached to a gas station as if just trying to make use of extra space. After our first visit, I would say, you would be mistaken to not stop in and give it a try.
The staff were very welcoming and pleasant. As we sat and ate, I watched them interact with other customers and it was clear they have numerous regulars.
We enjoyed the curry puffs, I tried them with and without the sauce. I preferred them plain, they tasted so good you didn't need the sauce.
The panang curry, it seemed as though the sauce was a little thin but it was very good otherwise. I would order it again.
The Tamarind Chicken was by far my favorite. I liked it so much, I could go back tonigh for more. The sauce was amazing. I enjoyed every bite of it.
We also ordered the fried rice with beef. This was only issue I had. The rice alone was very very good, however, the beef pieces were very tough. I ended up just pushing them to the side and enjoying the rice instead.
I wish there was a half star option, this would be a 4.5 review.
I would recommend Thai Pan and we will certainly be going back to try additional dishes.
I came for the gas and stayed for the Thai food. It is connected to a gas station but don't let that fool you. The food is great and authentic. Portion size and quality exceeded my expectations. I ordered extra spicy and they didn't disappoint. The flavor was fantastic and the burn the next day was equally hot. Will definitely be back and if anyone complains about this place you should stay eating your MacDonalds happy meals and leave this place to the pros.
absolutely delicious. the real seasoning is here. Sanitation and hygiene in the premises is noted. very good 100 points
Green curry w/ chicken was excellent! The portions were great, food was hot, and flavor was also excellent. I think this place has really upped their game under what appears to be new owners in the past year or so and I'm super happy about that because they're so close. Every table was full and I felt a bit sorry for the woman working bc it was a little crazy. I'll be back for sure bc I'm local and this was dang good.
Great attentive service. The food was tasty, and the duck was excellent. Some of the fried dishes had too much batter and very little meat in them, so they would be very oily as well.
Best Thai in Leesburg, probably in Loudoun, maybe in the whole area. Only problem is deciding what to get. Not my favorite panang curry ever, but everything else is. Tiny little place with good, fast service and really excellent food
A small cozy restaurant that is a hidden gem...food is pretty good and the place gave a homey feeling. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was parts of the noodles I ordered were clumped up and chunky so it was Like eating a lump, I also felt that the curry was a bit salty but other than that the food was good. The staff was also pretty professionally and respectful
Just got delivery from this restaurant for the 1st time. Everything is fresh and delicious. Friends recommended me and I'm glad they did. Even my simple requests to sub a couple ingredients out didn't get over looked. Highly recommend. Especially using the beef in the pad Thai. 😋
I personally find the tom Yun more Thailand style.. the taste is better than the rest that I have try before
This little hole in the wall is a treasure. Amazing food at a great price. I'm not from around here but if I'm ever in town I'll be stopping in again for sure. Drunken noodles were perfect!!!
When I first heard about a Thai food place in the same building as a gas station I was skeptical. I ate there once and all the skepticism was gone.
Hands down the best panang curry chicken I have had in many years. Love this place, all their food is amazing. I haven’t tried any other Thai food in the area. I don’t need to. This is the place.
