An old friend introduced me to this place - first thing I tried was the spaghetti and I was hooked! I also love the salami/Cheezit plate that you get [when a pizza is ordered]. The pizza is also very good.
If ur gonna have Italian in the neighborhood, Lido's is the place to go. Decor's a little dusty but the food is good, fresh & cheap. Great for groups.

More than average Italian. When we moved to Lemon Grove in 2001, I set out to find both a Mexican and an Italian dining spot nearby. The Italian restaurant was Lido's. It's so good that even when it's full of families with crying or screaming children it still beats anywhere else hands-down. Every item on the menu is tasty and comes with minestrone or a salad on the side. But here's the big deal: their meat sauce is so good we buy it by the quart and keep it in the freezer. My wife uses it for lasagna and anytime we want a quick meal, five minutes of pasta cooking and three minutes of microwave and we have a meal to die for. I am most impressed with their Italian sausage. I also keep a pair of them in the freezer. No knots, no junk, just a mighty tasty sausage to spice up whatever you put it on.
This is an old fashioned family restaurant; laid back, so don't be in a hurry. Your food is cooked to order, as it should be, so have a glass of wine, ask for your garlic bread with your appetizer and enjoy.
Mouth watering, savory, Italian food. I love there pasta there meat sauce, Lasanga, raviolli, and much more and you can't get a better deal than the meal for two lover's it is all of the best Italian food you could imagine in one plate for two Italian lover's, or a family of four! It's huge and an incredible price considering how many hours it would take you to make all of the delicious and amzing dishes you receive in this one meal.
We love Lido's Restaurant. My favorite is Baked Rigatoni. They have the best Cheesy Bread too! (I've tried many in my vicinity) The Lasagne is great too! Never been disappointed in any meal I've had in the 30+ years of going here. But I would order pizza well done. Chicken/Rib combo is wonderful too!
Hadn't been here in years but used to come quite often. Finally went back and the food was good as always. Maybe not as good as I remember but definitely better than most Italian places. Been around a very long time so they must be doing most things right. π
Great experience, we went on a Friday night, kinda busy, but yet very nice atmosphere. Our waiter Stephen, young gentlemen, was very courteous, patient in giving recommendations for appetizers, food, wine, very knowledgeable about everything. My co-worker had come here for years, I see why, they give generous portions of soup and salad, which I loved. The appetizer of fried ravioli and entree lasagna was garlic bread was amazing, I will also highly recommend this place!!

First time visitor here. Ordered gluten free pasta because I have to but I'm not sure that's what I got since I had some reactions to it. Only came with two meatballs so it needs more protein especially when your spending about $15 per plate. Salad and dressing were tasty and the service was very good! I would come again on a special occasion.
This is the only place I don't mind seeing a huge line out the door when I arrive because I know business is good and they'll stay open. Great minestrone, great pizza, great shells and baked dishes. I love the ribs. I love the salad dressing. I love every memory of each time I've been to this place whether pick up or dine in. Nothing beats it and I won't question why. I get all warm and fuzzy just walking inside. Seriously though, it's not just my nostalgia that makes me say they know what they're doing in the kitchen. Buon fortun!
