Nice clean restaurant and friendly staff. Got my food 10 mins after ordering it! Fast service! Went here about 9am on a Friday morning. Food is delicious! Hot and fresh. I ordered the Country fried steak, over hard eggs, hash browns and biscuit. Everything came out perfectly. If I’m in the area again I’ll definitely be stopping by here for a quick bite.
This place can and does get busy. Good food. I always get breakfast here and when I do I go Mexican. The Carne Asada with eggs is wonderful. But never had anything bad. My Grandfather always had the French toast. It was very good.
Best country fried steak that I’ve had in awhile! If you come here on Sunday you will be waiting for a LONG time to be seated. The coffee was a little watered down for me but my mom in-law had no complaints. The pancakes are thick and a nice size. You will not have to worry about leaving hungry because the portions are huge. There are so many things on the menu and I will be back to try out something else.
Side note: some may say this is a small hole in the wall but I say the food is worth it.
LOVE this place! We eat breakfast here at least once a week. The staff is so friendly and attentive. My coffee mug is never less than half full! The food is the best I've had in San Diego and it is consistently amazing. Never had a meal at Lemon Grove Cafe that wasn't as amazing as the last time! The prices are probably the best in the county also.
Lemon Grove Cafe has been a long time favorite with a diverse menu and breakfast anytime. My chicken fried steak and eggs were delicious with perfect gravy. I love their coffee. We were there late morning and ate in the outdoor patio where pets were welcome. The decor is a bit dated but homey with booths, counter seating and tables. Our wait person was great. The restaurant can be crowded and during the most popular meal hours parking, though usually ample, can be tight. There are colorful and interesting murals on adjacent building walls. We always enjoy meals at the Lemon Grove Cafe.
The good omelet and good server👍, good attention and service, they just have to maintain the place, remove hand-made posters...!!
