Yesterday my husband and I had a double date with our friends at J2 where we enjoyed a wonderful meal. This was our first time dining here and we had a spectacular time. We were politely greeted at the door and our first impression was that the ambiance had a unique balance of historical preservation and elegance. It feels like you've traveled in time with much of the original mill still preserved. Upon receiving our food we were quite impressed, each dish was finely arranged and prepared to perfection making every bite so savory that you wanted to eat slower to enjoy each flavor. If you're not sure what to order you can't go wrong with their steak, for sides definitely try the short rib mac and cheese or lobster orzo. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy fine dining and a particularly unique ambiance.

Easily the best steak in the area. Love the personal touch from all the managers and staff. Great choice of sides, the mushrooms are really good! Wednesday night is half price bottles of wine? Winner! Plus, fantastic Happy Hour!

Everything I have had here in the past two weeks has been so so good. Tonight, Jim made me try tequila, which was delicious! Who knew? The fried shrimp app looked like three lobster tails! HUGE! Delicious! Steve had the best ever chicken fried steak ! Steak medallions and lobster risotto for me. Can't wait to try happy hour this week coming up!

This was our second visit, and it’s so good! We LOVE the interior decor keeping that “Old Feed Mill” feel but yet you know you’re in for a special meal the minute you step inside! The cocktails are tasty, we share the 16 oz. rib eye steak and every side we’ve tried so far is fabulous! So far our faves are the garlic mashed potatoes and the green beans! I love how Lewisville’s Old Town is turning out so awesome! My fave spot with the grandkids is the sweet little splash fountain in the park in front of City Hall!

We came to celebrate my Mom’s 81st Birthday. The food was delicious and the service was incredible. We had the avocado fries, very good. I had the falafel burger, loved it. My Mom had the filet and it was melt in your mouth. Thank you we will be back.

Food was excellent! I was with a group of 6. Started out with drinks at the bar. Then had several appetizers, steaks and multiple desserts. All delicious!! Staff members made a point of stopping by to visit with us. Love the atmosphere too. Lots of history in the building and they kept a lot of it in the decor. Highly recommend going. I’ll be back soon.

We love everything about J2 Steakhouse from the ambiance, food, drinks and service. We started with the shrimp cocktail. They were massive and delicious. For our main entree we split the chicken fried steak. I think it was up there with the best I’ve ever had! Our server Boyd was outstanding as was his assistant and the drink consultant Cody was very personable and knowledgeable. We look forward to our next visit and their upcoming wine tasting.

Easily my best steak of quite some time, can’t really remember anything better. We shared most every appetizers on the menu and all were great. Sides were awesome and shareable. Wine and drinks were very good. Service was impeccably and the decor matched the building to a T. Check it out before all of DFW finds it.

My grandson and I went to dinner here tonight, first time either of us had been here. Very nice decor, food was very good. He had the salmon, delicious and I had the chicken fried steak. Had a great attentive waiter, his name is Johnathan. He is a student at North Texas, a very nice young man. So great to see downtown Lewisville opening these great places. The only change I would suggest is that bread or rolls be served with the salads we enjoyed.

We went to J2 for our anniversary and it was awesome. The service is even better than the incredible steak. The crème brûlée was to die for.

Outstanding and perfect place for a steakhouse in Old Town Lewisville. Highly recommended. Food was excellent and staff were outgoing and friendly. Once the secret is out this place is going to be packed all the time.

The server we had was very helpful and friendly. The atmosphere in the restaurant was delightful . The decor was very fitting for our Old Feed Mill. I especially like the chandelier that was over the back bar. You wouldn’t think that would work together but it does. Food was delicious! So full we didn’t have room for the Smore‘s cheesecake!

I just love the relaxed ambiance of Prairie House. A former feed store redecorated with items from the past. It's beautifully done. Our orders were cooked to perfection with the best seasonings and flavors. When you think of these meals, they do them right. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and took great care of us.

So this place is GORGEOUS! The whole decor theme is executed so very well! From outside to inside, just lovely! It scores extra points for us because one of the rusty old tractors outside is made by a brand called Oliver and that just happens to be the name of our son, so extra photo ops and photos were snagged with it. The food was great and portions were large for the prices! Our server was stretched thin but she did her best keeping up with refills and getting the food out to us. Can’t wait to go again!

I recently discovered this place, and wanted to stop by for lunch. I came in for lunch and I was told about a chicken fried ribeye. I also got the brisket burnt ends for my appetizer. The chicken fried ribeye isn't on their actual menu, but if you request it, they will serve it to you. They did, and my goodness gracious it was outstanding. It's 16 oz. breaded and fried perfectly, and the steak cut like butter. I also got gravy for the steak on the side, bacon white mac n' cheese and mashed taters for my 2 sides. I hear all the time about the best chicken fried steaks in DFW, and I cannot belive this one is never mentioned. Hopefully word gets out that they make one of the best chicken fried steaks in all of Texas. Just make sure you ask your server for the chicken fried RIBEYE and not their regular chicken fried steak. I'm gonna go back to try their other menu items very soon!

Ladies and gentlemen...The atmosphere here superb, the large impeccable bar was and townhouse features are absolutely stunning! My waitresses was named MIA, she was the best waitresses I've ever had, it was like telepathic almost how she knew exactly what type of drink I needed, the food was delicious, everything was visually yummy, and tasted just like this picture! I have no idea why this place doesn't have 5 stars. I'm going back...ASAP this dessert menu I need to sample, and please 🙏 yall try the fried ribs!! I heard audibly clear, over, and over, how amazing they are!!!

The experience I had with server Louis was great. The flavor of the food seemed more old west BBQ than the new age BBQ. They feature a pick two or three for the BBQ so my girlfriend and I had a good sample of different meats. The meat was cooked tenderly and the flavor (though not what was expected) was that of some old classic BBQ. The flavor of the smoke permeating every bite brought a unique taste that I haven't experienced in some time. The building also brings out this same thought as the atmosphere includes antiques throughout. There is a well stocked bar if you're looking to enjoy a drink after a long day as well. Would recommend.
