Delicious food, chicken and beef seasoned to perfection. Clean atmosphere and attentive, polite waitstaff. Love it! We shared the Oasis Platter and it was amazing! Lots of food for 2 people.
Delicious food, great service. The falafel pita-wich is great bang for your buck. Our server gave me more bread to take home with leftover hummus, which was really nice. I'll definitely be going again.
Really loved the buffet- tea was quite expensive but it came in a lovely enameled pot 2.95 for the touch?Everything was delicious and fresh as one porkulent(new word for fat) man had 5 buffet plates full they must have lost money on him he was really loving it! The falafel were great soup was excellent rice was yummy Im not sure what I put on it a yummy stew that I think had ocra in it.Hummus was really thick and bursting with flavor.I had other pickled things which were homemade and added great flavor to everything else. The whole place had a busy Manhattan feel to it.The waitresses and owner were especially nice and gracious.A really sexy Middle Eastern doctor( who is on WLEX all the time Fadi? Was there eating) so it was hard to focus on eating.Lol!

Love it. So inexpensive! I love this restaurant, their vegetarian sampler has so many things to try and I always have leftovers for another meal. Very chill atmosphere too!
Excellent food and service. Any time we are in town, we have to stop in. Wish it was closer to home.
Very good Mediterranean food! The buffet is a good value too! Hummus is very tasty.
Good food, but Sahara's is better.
Favorite. Oasis is my favorite restaurant in Lexington. I have been eating here 2-4 times a week for the past year.
The food is consistently excellent. Service is top notch. Oasis is very clean, and prices are fairly low.
My current favorite entree is the chicken skewers (10 1 inch chunks of chicken) with fries. The garlic sauce is a must with every meal.
My favorite. I work in Chevy Chase and Oasis is one of my favorite restaurants. Great lunch buffet and very vegetarian/vegan friendly. Service is always quick so easy to get a fast hot lunch. Highly recommended.
I love Oasis! The buffet is amazing and the main dish changes everyday so you can always try something new! The lentil soup is an absolute must, you are crazy not to try it. Wonderful food and atmosphere!!!
Just a really good meal. I have eaten at Oasis numerous times and each visit has been great. I typically order off the menu, even at lunch, and have never been disappointed.
Best deal in town... chicken shawarma pita!
Delicious lentil soup. Second visit to Oasis today. Didn't try the lunch buffet, as the options seemed limited. Ordered the lentil soup, which is ALWAYS a must here.
For my entree i had the hummus topped with chicken shawarma. Everything was delicious, definitely could feed two people.
When it comes to Mediterranean i do like the lunch special at saharah better.
Been a regular here for years. Ive been coming to Oasis for over 10 years now and the food is always consistently delicious. this is great soul food, i recommend the "oasis platter" as it is only around 25 bucks and comes with enough food to easily feed 4.
great, consistent restaurant!
BEST hummus in town. Perfect consistency! Also the chicken shwarma is literally my favorite dish in the entire world. The garlic sauce that comes with it is SO. GOOD. IT'S RIDICULOUS. Yum yum yum
A good surprise. My husband and I like to try different foods. Since we had never had Mediterranean before we decided on Oasis after seeing it on Urbanspoon. We were not let down! We ordered an appetizer sampler and the dinner for 2. The food and service was great! My husband who doesn't like white rice LOVED theirs. The Mint Iced Tea was refreshing. I haven't been able to find good Mint Iced Tea anywhere else. At the end of our dinner we were raving to our server. When he found out that it was our first time there he gave us a piece of Baklava on the house. It was so good I was tempted to lick the plate!
Shawarma heaven. We live in the Beaumont area and the wife won't even consider going to "that other" Mediterranean place down the road from us. That's unfortunate, but then again, I've honestly never found better Mediterranean food than served at Oasis. The humus is fresh and flavorful and the chicken shawarma is the single best chicken dish I've ever had anywhere. Our waiter suggested it the second time we visited and I'm telling you, it is to die for. Oasis also has a pure white garlic dip that is unlike anything we've ever tasted. The wife insists this dip is good enough to be sold as a stand-alone item on the menu which means she'd pay extra for it. Not sure about the other wait staff, but Peter, the only waiter we've had during our four visits, is a top notch professional. Extremely knowledgeable with great recommendations.
OK, I'm getting hungry. Wonder where I'm going to dinner tonight. Hmmm...
One of my favorites!. The hummus is the best you'll find! So creamy!!! The beef kabobs are tender and have a wonderful flavor. The rice is so good I could make a meal on it by itself. I love the fattoush salad! The staff is very friendly.
Delicious food and good service.. I have been to Oasis several times in the past few years- it's definitely a favorite restaurant of mine. The lamb chops, which I have tried once, were perfectly medium rare, quite juicy, and generally delicious. :) Possibly my favorite dish here is their stuffed grape leaves- they are the best I have yet had.
In my experience the staff are friendly and welcoming. I have never had an unpleasant experience here.
Why such poor ratings??. I guess I've never been here for anything other than lunch. And, why would I? The lunch buffet is INCREDIBLE. I am not a buffet fan, but when you can try 20 different authentic middle eastern dishes rather than having to choose one, why would you? I love this lunch.
Best Mediterranean Food In Lexington. I'm going to start with the Owners/Chef/Staff. It's been open for over 17 years and the chef is from Lebanon and very serious about his food. The wait staff is shined and polished and know the food they serve inside and out. Peter's a gem and you'll be amaized by his professionalism to make your dining experience perfect. Now the prices. They have a $6 lunch special or a $9 lunch buffet with almost 30 items both hot and cold with soup and flat bread and hummus come on the buffet. The food is amazing. This is where the other Mediterranean restaurant owners go to find out how to make GREAT Mediterranean food. The entrea prices are average and for the quality of the food they serve it's actually very cheap. They even hand slice and pickle their own turnips that will have you driving back for more. The hummus is creamy and delicious. I've been eating here for about a year now and I go twice a week and would go more often but I live in Nicholasville. It's friendly service , relaxed, family friendly atmosphere with a diverse crowd, very tasty and healthy food. The dining area has booths along with single tables and a long booth with tables that can accomdimate large groups. But the food is served very hot with all the extras at no extra charges. Portions are so big they could feed 3 people. They also have kids menus and portions. The baklava is perfectly sweet with a honey sauce that will make you order two. It's warmed just right and delicious with their hot tea. I'm sure Guy Fieri will be featuring this place on his Diners Drive-Ins and Dives show very soon. Please if you own/work/cook here don't change a thing. Keep doing what your doing.
New buffet item. Went to the Oasis lunch buffet today, as we do regularly. Everything was excellent, but the chicken and potato dish is my new favorite comfort food! The buffet is an excellent alternative to the "typcial" shwarma and kabobs found at most Mediterranean places and often has something new along with old favorites.
Excellent Food. We had the Oasis Platter and it was enough food for 3 people! Excellent Hummus (although the pita bread was served cold), and everything on the platter was delish. Service was excellent, price was right. A true find.
Good middle eastern food!. I like the buffet idea, not so much for myself because I have had enough middle eastern food to know what I like, but more for the people that have never had middle eastern food before so they can try a little bit of everything. The lentil soup is some of the best I have ever had, very peppery.
A good place to visit from time to time, besides, where else can you go and have all of the falafel you want!?!
Love it!. The Oasis is always great. High-quality every day. Vegan-friendly. Wonderful lunch buffet. And from the menu, here is a little secret: their French fries are fabulous. The Turkish coffee is not to be missed. Thank you, Oasis.
Nice place.... This place is tiny, like postage stamp tiny, but their food is delicious, and the service was perfect, only complaints I had was my plate was 70 % rice, enough rice to feed 4 people, with my 3 kabobs on it, and their yummy hummus, and garlic sauce for dipping etc. I would have much preferred less rice, and instead some sort of veggie or something else. Also there is not much elbow room if they get busy, but the prices are reasonable, and the food is good so, I don't mind too much the tight space. This is a nice place for a quite luncheon with friends.
Authentic Cuisine. This place brings a Smile to my Face each time I enter this restaurant. The Cuisine is truly Authentic and delicately prepared. The Owners and Employees are always professional and polished!!
Quite a find!. So, who'da thunk that in Lexington Kentucky there'd be a fantastic down-home Middle-Eastern restaurant where the fool is spicy, the fried kibbe perfectly executed, the falafel not dry and crumbly, the baba ghanouj pleasantly smoky, and the waraq 'inab (stuffed grape leaves) flavorful and tender. Not one but two (!) tables of customers speaking Arabic. Music to my ears. Will be back whenever I'm in town.
We love it!. We have been eating the lunch buffet on a regular basis for a couple of years now, and have taken visitors out to dinner there numerous times. We have NEVER had a bad meal or a bad experience. There are plenty of vegetarian dishes, meat dishes, shiskabobs, pita-wiches, fatoush and other salads, and, of course, Falafels! The clove (lebanese) tea is good, as is the mint tea - and you can order turkish coffee. Everything's good, and I'm pretty sure we've tried it all. Enjoy!
Love the buffet!. Delicious variety on the lunch buffet. Vegan-friendly but with nice options for the carnivores, too. Very affordable. Support your local restaurants!
