From being greeted at the door to leaving we were treated wonderfully!
Our server Rhonda gave the best service I have ever experienced.
My friend and I had the saganaki for a appetizer. It was perfect. Not over powering flavor. We both had the scallops. They were cooked perfect! I had the house wine. It was very good. We never felt rushed. We like the fact that our server was very accommodating and had a sense of humor.
Fine dining experience at its best.. Will be back
Jimmy's is one of our favorite places to eat fine food. I usually get the duck or crab stuffed shrimp but those are specials that vary. Last night all four of us all had the filet. It just melted in my mouth. I can't get enough of their homemade rice pudding as a dessert. We always have Lylo as our waiter each time we come. We just love him! I love their atmosphere and beautiful decor. They even have tables outside.

Jimmy's char house has some very good food most of their plates are large portions you can share with your partner if you don't feel like eating a whole plate of pasta, stakes are amazing nice atmosphere. The first time we came here the server was very rude and very on attentive. We order an appetizer followed by salads and then her entrée server brought the appetizer then the salad right behind it like as if we were a conveyor belt. We told him please do not bring our entrées until we are done with the appetizer and salad. He tells us oh well it's too late I already put your order in. I said well then tell them to pull it out because we are not ready to eat. Server tells us well I can't do that because I will lose my job. I told the server well that's common sense on your part because how can you put the whole order in all at once and expect us to finish an appetizer or a salad and still have our meal sitting on the side getting home and the services yeah yeah yeah whatever. Told the server we're still working on the appetizer and a salad. Not even five minutes later he plopped down a plate on the table and we are not even halfway through the salad. We told him to take the plate back we are not ready he said well I can't and walked away leaving the plate on the table. not only did he bring the entrées early but the order was wrong you would think a server taking an order would look on the plate to make sure that what was ordered was on the plate before you serve it to the table . I called over the manager and told him the situation he ended up deducting the entries from our bill. We told the manager that the food was amazing but because of the service we would not come back. The manager deducted the entrées from the bill so we would come back and we did. The second time the Service was amazing we had a woman that was one step ahead of us and made sure that we were done eating your salads before the order was put in. It's too bad servers like that ruin businesses that we are glad that we went back because the food again was amazing.
Enjoyed a wonderful meal at Jimmy’s Monday night. This is my second visit to the area and we made a point to return there. Food was delicious and the staff was very attentive. If I return to the Chicago area again Jimmy’s will be part of our trip!
What a great place!!! Our waiter Leonard was awesome!! The place was so clean and decorated with beautiful antiques. A very classy place. Food portions are huge and the price is very reasonable. Delicious fresh ingredients go into their food and it's nice to see how much pride they have with their food! I would def come back here. Did I mention Leonard was amazing?! Lol
We had a delicious wonderful meal. Our server Lalo was great & had perfect input on food and drinks. He was very inactive and attentive. Food was Amazing also. The service made this a perfect meal.
The food is consistently good as is the service. Their customer satisfaction is over the top! My daughter and I ordered the chicken but later found out they were out of white meat. They gave us each a dessert of our choice "on the house" for the inconvenience. Now THAT is top notch customer service
We were at the Libertville location yesterday a group of 7. Jay was our waiter and he was outstanding and very accommodating. The meal was delicious. There were 2 vegetarians and they commented that their pasta had so many vegetables they were pleased!! At the end we mentioned to Jay we had a 94 year old birthday celebrant. He brought ice cream, lava cake and 7 spoons!! Steaks, ribs and fish were delicious. Can't wait to return
Our waitress Kelly is one of the best I've ever encountered. Wish I could say as much about the bar server...ordered a few wings, she delivered them without a napkin! Even asked for one, she brought me 3 wetnaps! My friend finally got up and got me one!
I hoste my parents 25th wedding anniversary here this weekend! I live in IN but my family is here so I was hoping it was worth the time it took to get here. Service great & food was AMAZING! Maria our coordinator was fantastic & so easy to work with & communication was consistent & prompt. We had 3 great servers. Adam & Danielle were phenomenal! I would recommend this place for special events or just dining out!
The service & food has always been phenomenal. Also love the fact that with my sandwich they switched out fries for sliced tomatoes since I am a diabetic. The burgers were cooked to perfection & quite tasty. The presentation was very eye appealing besides delectable. The bartender provided great service, no drinks, just wanted to watch sports on TV. Highly recommend Jimmy's Charhouse Libertyville to everyone.
Great service from our server Jill. My husband loved his ribeye and I had a special request that wasn't on the menu and they accommodated me, blackened salmon, it was fantastic! Can't wait to go back.
Well, on our grand adventure to pick up our brand new sailor we decided that as a last hurrah before we departed back south, we would get some food. We stopped off at jimmy's charthouse and I must say it was a fantastic decision. The food was extraordinarily good presentation was beautiful. The price warranted the food, I'll be at a little expensive. The food was so worth it.. But that pales in comparison to our server. A fine gentleman named Alex who was absolutely on top of his game. He was very quick about making sure we were taken care of he was super polite, super courteous and a very knowledgeable. As much as I hope to never find myself back in this state if I do I believe that we are going to make this a absolute stop in our travels.
I like the newly updated interior. It's cozy but clean. The food is okay; our meat was slightly overcooked (pork chop), and the mashed potatoes weren't freshly made. The pork chop had only the carrots,no broccoli. French onion soup was tasty, but I've had better ones in the past. Kids' meals were decent. Their bread is pretty good, though.
Very yummy food and big portions!!! Expect to pay at least $20 per dish but its worth it! Comes with soup or salad. Our waitress was a little condescending though:/ my brother took us and said that was the only that happened so Im guessing the rest of the staff are friendlier.

We came here bc my son whom just graduated from Great Lakes Navy Academy wanted a steak since he was "deprived" of regular food lol. It was a nice place, my son got a steak and he said there was not any flavor to it. The waitress was nice but def face paced.
Wow, jimmy, i dont know who you are, but you run a great establishment. From the atmosphere, the food and hospitality. My friends and i couldn't have had a better experience! The steak was perfect, as well as our drinks.
Our sever anne was wonderful, abby and izzy made some unbelievable drinks as well..
and we can't wait to come back with more of our friends and family.

Our son, who just graduated boot camp, wanted steak. We found this restaurant and it was great. The atmosphere was really nice. It was actually hard to decide what to eat because the menu was awesome. Everything tasted great and the service was excellent. Nancy was our waitress - she is very personable and funny. The char-grilled calamari was listed as an appetizer today, and it was really good. The steaks we had were cooked perfectly. The lamb chops were amazing. The cheesecake was spectacular. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are around. Such a nice place. We already placed a reservation for tomorrow.

Absolutely delicious!! Very nice restaurant we ordered soups chicken with veggies bacon cheeseburger. The staff is wonderful and welcoming I also noticed a nice bar area🙂
An excellent meat-focused char house with great seafood, high quality steak and chicken entrees, as well as all the other pastas and breaded selections. The service is very fast, even when busy; appetizers come out impressively quick and main courses are sizzling hot. Food is delicious, drinks are mixed well and the servers (even new ones) are very knowledgeable or willing to go find out for you. All in all, 10/10 will dine again. Eat at this place instead of Austin's for a less obnoxious atmosphere and more high-end selections of food & drink!
Food was Amazing. Restaurant had a really nice ambiance! Service was Subpar. I had to ask for my Mashed potatoes to be brought out, which took about 20ush minutes. After I had already gotten the rest of my food. The waiter just wasn't on point. Being our first time there and our 1 year anniversary, kinda ruined it for us!
We had the best lunch here after my nephews graduation from Naval Station Great Lakes. Our waitress, Nancy, knew exactly how to make our group feel special - banter, great service, awesome recommendations, and support for our recent graduate. The food was delicious. We ordered a celebratory spread: porterhouse, Jimmy's pasta, lamb chops, stuffed mushrooms, calamari, cheesecake, Lemoncello cake. I would fully recommend this restaurant for anyone in the area!
Literally my favorite restaurant in Libertyville! I absolutely love their food, my family has been going there for over 30 years! The lamb is amazing. The steaks, pork chops and prime rib are wonderful add al forno cheese or blue cheese or horseradish cheese crust to any steak. The Pasa dishes are huge and flavorful! Appetizer selection amazing, try the stuffed mushrooms or the Mediterranean shrimp in garlic. They have wonderful seafood selection. The portions are large, dinners come with homemade soup or salad (all homemade dressings), also vegetables and choice of potato or rice also homemade bread. The atmosphere is lovely and elegant, the staff is excellent! Wonderful selection of beers and mixed drinks! Attire is casual to dressy. Highly recommend this for a date night or the whole family! Book your special events in their large banquet room!
Friendly staff and oh so yummy food
I give Jimmy's a 5, primarily for atmosphere. On the outside of the restaurant, I didn't know what to expect as it looks like it is part of a strip mall, but you enter and the lighting is dim and reminds you of a 1920s Era steak house/speak easy. I had the lentil soup and bbq pork sandwhich. Lots of meat and fried onions. Originally, I was going to give a 4 as it took a while to be seen once seated, but I will give them slack due to training a new waiter. I will go back again, just don't go if sleepy as it is a very cozy atmosphere.
