it usually means the food is good! It was!
This was our first try of the infamous deep dish pizza in Chicago and it didn't disappoint. Understanding that it does take a little longer for the pizza to be made, but it was worth the wait. It was definitely something different for people from other country, but we enjoyed it.
We ordered a medium pizza (8 slices) between the two of us, and we got through six - which we were happy with. They have the option to take the remaining with you, should you want to.
Wonderful deep dish pizza. Never disappoints. 5 stars!
Took a soccer team here. Kind of weird with never separating a check. Service was good. Fast as deep dish would allow. Strange that drinks have no price on menu. We had to calculate so every one paid the correct amount. Food was good place was clean go here for decent Chicago deep dish pizza
Anyone saying this isn't good deep dish has major issues.
Lou Malnati's first--Gino's second.
Ned's on 27th St and Oklahoma in Milwaukee for thin crust, is first. No one else comes close.
Absolutely LOVED the pizza! All fresh ingredients, home made sauce was the BEST I've ever had!!! Definitely try the traditional style sausage if ur a meat lover-a whole layer of sausage in the middle! Crust was cooked to perfection-crispy outside soft inside!
Went on a Saturday night, no wait. Restaurant was busy but not overly crowded. Staff was polite and the place had an overall very comfortable vibe. Had deep dish pizza which wasn't overly saucy. There is also a nice bar for those interested.
Good food and service. Gave my son a chocolate cake for graduating from the Navy! Great touch. Thank you for a special night.
My first deep dish experience was amazing! Will definitely come back when I come back to town.
When you go to eat in or you are getting it to go at Gino's East of Chicago in Libertyville you are going to be eating from one of the top ten best pizza in the world all of the food dishes are made with produced with the finest ingredients and only all the freshest ingredients available the staff at the restaurant are extremely friendly and extremely helpful and the restaurant is kept as clean as it possible.
The food is very much old school and handed down from generations. Fair price. Delicious, not much on presentation, but too busy enjoying the flavors to care. Great lunch spot. Can't wait to try the pizza!!! They're sauce is old world. I enjoyed it.
This historically would have been 5 stars. Been going to Gino's east for years. Always loved the crispy buttery crust, generous cheese, and chunky sauce on top. Last visit was not the best. Crust did not hold-up and was a bit soggy and cheese kind of ran away. Maybe it was served too early. Flavor was still pretty good. Service was good too. I'll be back.
We ate here after our sailors graduation. Excellent! Service, food, easy to get to, all excellent! Wish I could remember the waiters name. He was very good. HIGHLY recommend. EDIT: Nevermind...the pizza was excellent!
Great pizza and always friendly. Ken does a great job!!! Have been eating Gino's forever and I always get the same fantastic pizza every time I order. Mozzarella sticks are really good too.
Deep dish was great, most unusual crust, very much like corn meal heavily buttered, it was good. Our server (Maureen) was knowledgible and friendly. Ceasar salad single was more than enough for two. Would recommend Gino's East.
We came in late (at closing time) and after explaining that we are visiting from California, they let us order past closing hours and got to enjoy Chicago style deep dish. Best pizza we ever had!
This restaurant is amazing, the staff is friendly and helpful. Management is one of a kind. We had a party here and they were nothing but nice. One of the best Ginos I've been to ever!! Recommend highly!!
Great Chicago-style pizza and very friendly servers that make everyone feel at home. Also gave special attention and appreciation to our recent Navy graduate. Thank you!
