Reviews Lan House

Human beings have an endless capacity to inflict havoc on our environment, each other, and ourselves, but Lan House serves the best Chinese food in Lincoln at affordable prices. We are guided by avarice, lust, and ambition, and even the best of us will seize our every advantage, heedless of the suffering we mete out on those we profess to love. But Lan House produces delicious, authentic, Lanzhou hand-pulled noodles. In five to seven billion years, when our species no longer exists even in memory, the sun will engulf this wretched planet. It will be as if we were never here. But for a shining moment, Lan House took care to offer Lincoln a unique dining experience. Five stars.

I came to Lan House today for lunch. My server, Pascal, was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the Lunch Special Curry Chicken and hand-pulled noodles, with hot & sour soup and a spring roll. The soup left a pleasing afterburn in my mouth, as did the Curry Chicken, which took me back to my younger days when a Chinese woman cooked it for me every Saturday. Lunch here today for me was a little bit of heaven - for well under ten dollars!

Some of the best authentic Chinese food in Lincoln. We haven’t had a dish we didn’t love. Highly recommend the Cumin Lamb Jia-mo, beef potstickers, and scallion pancakes.

By far, the best noodles I've had. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and the hot and sour soup and combo chow mein were so so so good.

Their food is fantastic! They have very authentic dishes that should satisfy everyone's tastes. Their service is OK. Sometimes better than other times. Overall a very good place to eat.

Just ate here again and it was just as good as the first time. I got the #12 (street noodles) again and my husband got Kung Pao tofu. He said it was the best he'd had seen a trip to Seattle 3 years ago. It was good and all, but the street noodles are where it's at. This place is a gem!!!

Awesome food, me and my wife just had an amazing lunch here. Authentic Chinese food, so much better than the generic Americanized stuff available elsewhere in the city. Definitely worth going out of your way for. I'm so happy Lincoln has quality Chinese cuisine.

It’s incredibly good. Authentic Chinese food, reasonably priced. My favorite is the #15. Get some beef potstickers while you’re at it.

I appreciated the love and art of the hand pulled noodles. Watching him make it looked like it came straight out of a movie. I'm very sad that this place is temporarily closed. The taste of hand made noodles is a luxury in this fast paced world and here in Nebraska! I really hope you guys open back up again soon!

First time in was tonight. I had Spicy Lovers but left out the Spam and tripe. The dish was amazing! One pepper in the dish (makes my mouth numb) was undesirable to me, but that's personal preference. The presentation and amount of food was perfect. Service was amazing and the atmosphere was great. The bathrooms weren't the greatest, but definitely not the worst I've seen. The dish was spicy, but I love heat so it was very tolerable and pleasant. Pricing was right on point for what I ordered. Overall very solid 4 - 4.5 star experience and I can't wait to return soon.

Have been going here for years and have never been disappointed. My roommate lives spicy food and they made sure she was happy with a burning spice by request. My sister is very picky and loves this place as well. I use to come when they use to sell boba but i still stay around for the amazing food.

Delicious food, good price, service was okay, but could be better. They don't have hot tea. Surprised. Never been to a Chinese restaurant without ahot tea. I think they were inundated by customers because of the eclipse and first day of class at UN, Lincoln. A lot of items we're out.

First visit here, came in after a really poor experience at the pizza place next door. This ended up being a great meal. Good food, reasonable price, and very friendly staff. Thanks for turning a poor experience into a great meal.
