First time at Big Bowl Lincolnshire, and we had a great experience. The staff was very professional and good. The service was great. Overall, food tasted good, and portions were just right. Will definitely go again.
Visited Big Bowl on a weekday for dinner and we could dine outdoors since the weather was nice! Loved the food, service and the nice outdoor seating.
Kiddo loved the sesame chicken which is on the sweeter side, we loved the cashew chicken and the Panang curry!
Unfortunately I had forgotten to get my credit card back from the folder when we left and only realized it a few days later. I called back and was surprised to find that they had kept it safely. After verification of identity, it was released to me. I very much appreciate the staff that saved me the hassle of cancelling and ordering a new credit card and the manager who was nice enough about the return process!
Stopped by here on a Saturday night. Good food that tasted great. The appetizers were served fresh and had a good kick to it. Although I will say the spices were lacking on the main dish. Food items that were portrayed as spicy were not spicy at all. The atmosphere was nice and had a good theme to it. Overall we had a great dinner experience here.
I've been eating at Big Bowl for about 10 years now and the taste is always something you expect. They have a certain citrus flavor in all their foods that gives them a signature taste.
Everyone at their table enjoyed the food but bear in mind it is a bit pricey which each dish being at least $20. My only disappointment is the calamari. They completely changed it and no longer serve it in the white takeout container with the little foam noodles surrounding it. The portion was also much bigger than now but things change. We did love the soup however.
I had enough food left for leftovers so that makes it more worth the price but I'd highly suggest trying a family owned restaurant when possible. This place is alright but not my first choice. I'd say it's more of an easy choice if eating with picky eaters or you don't want to risk something new. Overall, it's pretty decent.
Delicious meal. Wonderful service. I really enjoyed my Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl. It was fresh and full of terrific flavors. Really good! In addition, the homemade Ginger Ale was very tasty!
The host Jonathan was welcoming and professional. Our server Will was great. Very personable, helpful and knowledgeable. A fantastic professional as well.
I would definitely come back!
Ahí Tuna Bowl was good overall. Small amount of rice. Tuna itself was good. Spicy mayo was the winner. Seaweed salad was delish. Sweet glaze wasn't that appreciable. A little pricy for a poke bowl. Service was excellent and professional.
First time goer to Big Bowl after much hype. I gotta say it didn’t blow my expectations but I wouldn’t say it didn’t underachieve either. I’d say above average but can certainly reach 5 stars if improved on some things. I got the Kung Pao Chicken and the flavor was great, chicken was juicy and a nice balance of Spicy and sweet. The Cashew Chicken was a tad bit too spicy to a point where it can be unpleasant to eat. I like spicy food but even to me it was a bit overpowering to taste the rest of the plate. The dumplings were great, nice flavor on both the chicken and veggie dumplings. The Hibiscus lemonade was very refreshing and really complimented the dishes well. Same goes for the Pomegranate Ginger Ale with a nice carbonation kick to the refreshment.
I've never had a bad meal here. It's always busy; make a reservation. Here are last 3 dishes, all wonderful
First time at this location.
wait time- we ad reservation but we still had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. place was very busy.
we were seated and attended by a very nice server. he told us that this was the first location of big bowl.food- we ordered vegetable Wonton soup and spicy tofu with rice. taste was amazing.
serving size- we ordered large soup which serves 2-3 people. but it was small servering size. someone like me who loves soups, can easily have by its own and still eat food. But it definetly does not serve 3 people. Bowl was good enough quantity and i feel they have reduced their serving size, or may be this location gives smaller size.
quality of the food- good
Noise level- Loud. music with alot of people seating close together which makes the place sound louder.
restrooms are clean and they have hand sanitizer just outside, which is something I really liked.
parking - does not have designated spots. the plaza was very busy on Friday night and we had to park behind the hotel and walk back.
Not a huge chain type of restaurant person but gave this place a try and we were blown away. The portion sizes are huge and everything was so fresh! Not a fan of the service but the food was definitely worth it.
We are visiting from Nashville. Decided to try Big Bowl as it was close to our hotel.
I am a big fan of Oriental and Thai food.
The lettuce wraps were very good. The hot and sour soup is some of the best I’ve had.
The Chicken Pad Thai was spot one. Flavorful and perfectly seasoned. My wife had the orange chicken and it was a delight.
Our waiter was Jonny on the spot.
Can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. Highly recommended!
One of my all time favorite restaurant. I visited this place both with small and large group. Each time experience is very good. My suggestion will be to reserve table for best experience.
Service: Quick and Good
Cost: $$
Taste: Consistently Good 👍
Dessert: Limited options. I like Chocolate cake with Ice cream
Favorite: Stir fry is my all time favorite here
Amazing oriental cuisine .Had been there for lunch with friends. You start the order with their authentic freshly made ginger ale. They have many fruit flavors. Go for the chefs special bowl, with your choice of protein and sauce.
The only issue I had was that the dish was really salty. I will definitely have to ask for less salt next time.
The waiter was tentative and came to our table frequently.
Tasty asian-inspired cuisine in the outskirts of the Lincolnshire plaza. Interior is nothing special but staff were kind and our table was clean. Portion sizes are fairly large like many asian restaurants but prices are slightly higher than more low-key spots in the area. While tasty, the ambience and odd location do not provide much incentive to dine inside, making a no-frills takeout spot the better option if you’re in the mood for top-tier asian food. However, food undoubtedly tasted good and was prepared with fresh ingredients.
The food is really good and the waitress was very nice. My only issue is that they charge a surcharge and there's no explanation as to why. The waitresd said she take it off but it didn't come off the bill. I didn't make a fuss because of the company I was with.
The food was delicious! I was really happy with our food. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because I found a small hair in my orange chicken, but they replaced it quickly. Very good gluten free food!
