NWB is a refreshing, new addition to downtown Lisle. Great looking bar inside; but we ate outside because it was a gorgous summer evening. With some cute outdoor string lighting the patio would be a great romantic spot for a date. Huge whiskey selection as well as a deliciously innovative cocktail menu. Food definitely did not disappoint. I highly recommend the brussel sprouts. Totally addiction worthy. We will be back!
Awesome place! Very nice staff and food was great. Love the vibe and the ambiance. Drink menu is good! Would love to see some New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc on the wine list! More black bean corn salsa on the shrimp app plate (cause it is sooo good)! I would change up the variety of music. Overall you got it NWB keep it going!
I’ve tasted Manhattans and never much cared for them. That was until I had the oak barrel aged Manhattan at the NWB. Wow! It just kept getting better. The cheese curds were awesome, excellent grilled cheese with the best tomato basil soup, outstanding. The soup was on the spicy side, perfect! The size of the shrimp on the Po Boy was impressive. We ended with the whiskey donuts. Yum! The six of us loved this place! If you like bland food , do not eat here. Great food, outstanding service.
Steak sandwich, the truffle fries, and the tomato bisk, to die for - stellar food, drink and service. First time thier... surely not the last. I would recommend to anyone.
Love NWB! Salads turned into wraps were so tasty!! Kale, grape and quinoa rolled up in a fabulous tortilla was just so refreshing and filling!! So many drinks on menu and great pours! Staff was friendly and very passionate about helping serve us perfectly! We were given free whiskey donuts that were to die for because our wrap came out incorrectly which was no problem but they wanted to be generous anyway!!
I always enjoy my food & beer at NWB! I’m not a whiskey drinker, but am enjoying craft beers. Had the Kale & Quinoa Salad which is my favorite. And a visit is never complete without an order of Whiskey Donuts!! Melt-in-your-mouth addiction!
For a whisky, whiskey (there is a difference), bourban, scotch and rye novice, this place was welcoming and non-assuming. The staff and bartenders are happy to explain how and what to sample - and they have a very long list of offerings. Loved it so much I brought three different people there within four weeks. Good luck for much success in 2018.
Had a flashback drink 7 / 7 w/ Dewars. A drink I remember my parent always having as a kid. it was so good... Then enjoyed amazing food we had Cauliflower Popcorn, w Sarich and clarified butter goodness, Proton fries with pulled pork and guardinaria OMG!!!!! Amazing appetizers. For dinner steak sandwich with horseradish, friends had amazing shrimp & avocado salad and Asia Tempora hamburger. Man everything was so delicious. you must try this place
Best local place to get good quality drinks and food. They never disappoint me. I keep trying different things every time I go and it is always good. Also, they kindly hosted a trivia benefit night for my son's elementary school. Brandon, the manager was amazing at planning everything and it was so much fun! The staff is great too, which is a plus!

Had a great time! The staff members were knowledge and very friendly. We tried the bacon wrapped shrimp and the Southwestern egg rolls. Both were awesome! Had a burger and the Buffalo chicken Mac and cheese. Those were good as well. The drinks and atmosphere were great as well. We will be going back.
Top notch service!!! Cocktails and whiskey/bourbon selection one of the best. Food is phenomenal. This is a must try for anyone. Can’t wait to go back.
Great place! Stopped in last night with my wife. Had the signature 29er and the meat and cheese board. Atmosphere, food, drinks....all top notch.
I really enjoy the food and service. I ha the NWB burger and a salad. For dessert. I had the whiskey, caramel donuts they were fantastic, warm, and fluffy. The service was spot on the staff was very friendly and helpful. The drinks are outstanding and reasonably priced. My only suggestion is the dressing on the salad, tasted like it came out of a bottle from Kraft it really was bad and did not fit in with the quality of your other food. Everything else is hand made goodness but the salad dressing is sub par. Change that out to home made or at least a higher quality.and you have a Michelin star worthy restaurant.
We've been coming here for several years and I'm shocked I haven't left a review yet! Today I wanted to call out the exceptional service we experienced from the employee, Sam. He was attentive, friendly, and provided excellent suggestions.
We've always had delicious food and drinks here. The burgers, poutine, Mac and Cheese, sandwiches, and of course all the various, DELICIOUS, whiskey drinks, the whiskey doughnuts, mmm everything is a good choice.
a great place for 2 or 12. My first trip here was just for two and it was great. This last time was the church men's luncheon and once again, GREAT. Food was delicious. Service from Farah was accurate for us all on prompt. Assisted by Rachael and it couldn't have been better. We will be back!
Stopped by here for lunch with out of town friends. The neighborhood street it sits on is in the downtown area and is very cute giving hallmark vibes. It was a weekday so it was quiet but picked up around the lunch hour. Our waiter was very kind and provided us with his recommendations when asked. They have a large menu with plenty of selections for picky eaters. Food tasted very good, better than I expected. I had chicken and waffles with chips which were delicious. My friend ordered us the whiskey donuts which reminded us of Louisiana beignets. It’s a good size dish that is easily shareable between 3-4 people. I would eat here again and recommend it to friends.
There are so many choices for bourbon and whiskey! Food was excellent. Right in the heart of downtown! We will definitely return! We had the NWB Trio as an appetizer ad well as the chefs choice tacos (steak, onion, spicy aoli, and cilantro) we fries (odd combo for me) w a Manhattan w Woodford Reserve!

Food and drinks amazing. My top pick is one of the chef's special burgers which I understand rotates and you need to ask about. I didn't know when first decide to go, but it is a scratch kitchen so their ingredients are fresh and everything is made from scratch everyday. Highly recommend, you will not regret.
Amazing place with amazing atmosphere. Must try burgers. The cocktails are on point. The music also was fantastic. This place is located in Leisle downtown. Easy parking outside in main street.
One of the few good Whiskey bars in the area. Great selection of bourbons, and beers. But my personal fav is the Black Manhattan which is not typically on the menu but always available.
Staff has always been great. And a pleasantly low key chill environment.
Not bad for family dining even though it’s a Whiskey bar.
And great place to take an out of business associate for good food and cocktails.

Loved this place. I wish I didn’t drink so much so I could of been a bit more hungry for my delicious food. I got the turkey 🦃 burger with goat cheese and red pepper sauce (forgot to take a picture) with a side salad. The champagne dressing was so refreshing. Drank tons of bourbon. Lived here for two years and finally went here after I moved. Was so surprised at the food selection! Thought it was mainly a bar for whisky but there is something for everyone here. Of course I had to get an old fashion, but hot chicken sandwich and donuts were fire! Waitress was super nice and definitely will be coming back.
