My fiance decided to surprise me for lunch and take me here. My mom was from Jamaica and a PHENOMENAL cook, and I'm originally from Brooklyn NYC, so to say that I've been severely disappointed since I've moved down south by how poor their attempts at 'authentic' Caribbean food is an understatement...until Fireside. Best Jamaican food I've had since moving down here HANDSDOWN. Oxtails were a bit salty, and I could've used some more meat on the bones, but were still VERY good, and the Stew Chicken that my fiance had was EXCELLENT (even better than my mom's, I have to admit!). Rice and peas was also wonderful, and both the Stew Chicken and oxtail gravies were delectable. Even the veggie rice, which I don't particularly care for, was surprisingly good, and my baby proudly declared that she had the best tasting rice (she ordered the veggie rice, and I ordered the rice and peas). Just like when I first started talking to my fiance and it was never a question in my mind of IF I was gonna marry her, but when, it is not a question of whether I'll be back, it's when! Keep up the great work of bringing authentic Jamaican flavor to the South.

Oxtails and gravy are superb! I've frequented the resturant on many occasions and have never been dissatisfied.
I love the food i will be back.real Jamaican food the oxtail was delicious i ate all my food i want more.i wish it was one of their restaurant out here in Winder where I live at that's how good the food is I travel the hour and 15 minutes for it.
We stopped through on our long drive from Vegas to South Carolina. The food was DELICIOUS! My husband had curry goat and I ordered curry shrimp and stew peas. YUMMY.. can't wait to go back!
This is place has some of the most authentic amazing Jamaican food. The fact there is always a line proves how good they are . However there are lines they move very quickly and they also give large portions , to me you can eat off of for at least 2 days. Very friendly and accommodating staff.
I've been to Fireside in the past, but today was different. As always, they provide excellent customer service and great food, but I also learned that they honor public servants, including teachers, for their service. That was refreshing to learn. Not only was the teacher in front of me elated that she was recognized and rewarded, I too ended up being a recipient of their generosity because of my service as well. What a way to serve the community. Thanks Fireside!!
The two young ladies who served us were kind, and courteous which will ensure my return.
I visited this location on 6/29 with my niece and son Cameron it was such a warm welcome from Melissa and June immediately Melissa realized my son had autism and we began to share stories about our kids. She made me feel comfortable and she understood challenges.. Will definitely be back food was AMAZING
