I come here on my lunch break often and there's never a lot of people. There's a great selection of food to choose from. I've tried many things on the menu and have yet to try something I don't like. It's nothing fancy but very comfortable. Booths are your only option 👍🏻 I feel that it's underrated.

My first trip to Lazy Pete's was very positive. In addition to their regular (online) menu they have at least a dozen lunch specials (which I'm told never change). Off the lunch special menu I tried the shrimp & grits ($9.95), one of my alltime favorite dishes. It was excellent: 8 jumbo shrimp imbedded in a rather large bowl of soft grits with real bacon bits & a few green onion bits added. Some Louisiana Hot Sauce made it even better.  I've found seasonings to be a downfall of some otherwise good restaurants but this was not the case at Lazy Pete's. They also have a good selection of bottled beer. I will definitely return.

2nd trip was less positive. I went for the red beans and rice. $7.50 I believe. The red beans and rice were very lightly seasoned and the sausage just average. Portion was fairly large. Nothing exceptional. And why are the guys at the cash register so apathetic? Bored? depressed? Definitely lacking in people skills......Hope neither of the ones I dealt with was Lazy Pete himself...........
