I have enjoyed eating at La Hacienda for about 20 years at the original location in Hot Springs and since the opening of this location. It has been 4-5 years since being here though. I was a bit surprised at the condition of the facilities, they are really in a decline and since the restaurant is full almost every night. The food is better than average and service is good. The queso is very good, the salsa is idly sweet and the green chili sauce is hot. Margarita's are ok. All I all, a good place for original Mexican and not too expensive.
1/20/2020 La Hacienda has gone through an entire rebuild of the restaurant and they are back better than ever. The place is clean and service is excellent. The food quality is matches as well. I am very happy to up my rating for them.
Our favorite Mexican restaurant. Recently dined at the original in Hot Springs. Delicious and they still have that wonderful orange punch. I got a combo with taco, tamale, cheese enchilada, rice and beans. I don't normally like refried beans but you can tell theirs is from fresh pinto beans. Yummy. Little Rock location on Cantrell is just as good.
Excellent Mexican food - NOT Tex-Mex- the real deal in Mexican quisine, terrific retried beans, guacamole is superb - service is always good - both locations in LR very good!

Good Food, Great Service. La Hacienda is a great place to grab a quick lunch. The cheese dip is top notch and the chicken quesadillas taste great and are the perfect size. The service here is amazing. The food is delivered quickly and the waiters are great at making sure you have everything you need.
Good American Mexican Food. Hacienda serves American Mexican food but does so at a higher notch than most of the competitors in town. They are much better than the "Senor" place and their food actually has flavor.
The chicken nachos with fajita meat are tasty as they use marinated chicken. This means a lot for places like Hacienda as the others don't even bother to use marinade.
I really like the house punch and can easily drink too much of it. I normally only order water or tea but at Hacienda I have to indulge on the punch.
If you are looking for American Mexican style food, they are a good choice.
My favorite Mexican Restaurant by far. This is by far the best Mexican restaurant around. If you like authentic Mexican food, this is the place to go. No tex-mex food here. I love the sweet salsa, and their beans can't be beat. Economical and great service too!
Interesting. Three salsas that are all pretty good are served when you get in. During some hours they do a rotating serving staff, so you get service fast. Margarita specials are ample.
Salsa trio cannot be beat. I have commented on other La Hacienda locations, but this was my first trip to this one. We attended a rehearsal dinner that had rented out the whole restaurant for the night. There were free drinks and beer and a buffet of popular menu items, but my favorite was (like the other locations) the trio of salsa plus queso blanco. I did notice that instead of the warm sweet salsa I was used to they instead had a more typical salsa, though a little bolder than normal. And of course they had the traditional salsa and my favorite green salsa. The buffet had a range of enchiladas, rice, beans, tamales, quesadillas, shrimp, and a few different types of fajitas. Great food as usual from La Hacienda.

Love the fish tacos. I think it's catfish that they use, but man are they good. It's the sweet sauce that makes it. I also like the trifecta on the sauces when you sit down.
