Just another Newks.... Simply amazing! Great food, great staff... Just stay away from the strawberry cake (seriously, yech).
Manager John remembers me and my custom order from serving me at another location months before. Made me feel special - and appreciate the special care he gives me. Love the healthier, but tasty food at Newks.
We enjoyed our lunch and the nice staff. We usually go to a different Newk's but this one was excellent. I especially like that they have Splenda sweetened tea.
Nice large sitting area for dining in. I had the shrimp avocado salad but it was spicy at this location (maybe it's at all locations now, idk). It's still delicious though. My 5 year old daughter thinks she's a chili aficionado, but she fished out the chunky tomatoes and ate the cherry tomatoes in my salad (which wasn't too spicy for her)...go figure. She did express that it was still good.
This was our first visit and we were not disappointed. Not a standard sit-down restaurant, you place your order at the front counter, they give you a number, and you find a seat. When your order is ready they bring it to you. We had soup and a sandwich. The bread had a nice crispy crust but was not hard. Everything tasted great!
We decided to take Newks to go so we could eat at the park, but our time spent waiting on the food was fine. The staff was friendly, it was a clean, lovely looking restaurant, and our food didn't take long to get to us. I had the 5 cheese mac and cheese and it was pretty darn good - I'd probably go for the one with bacon next time though.
