I have been to supposedly "highest level" chic NY restaurants in NY City...but guess which is my favorite place to go? Waffle House ANY day.
The workers are so sincere; they are regular folk, real people trying their best, and they always make you feel as if your particular visit matters!.
If there was such a designation as an "America's Restaurant", it's Waffle House.
If I wanted to show foreign visitors the essence of "real America", I would bring them to a Waffle House restaurant.
No kidding.

Had dinner here at the end of an 11 hour day at the Travel Writers Workshop. It was perfect for my needs tonight. Ordered waffle with 2 eggs over easy on top of the waffle, with grits on the side. Everything was perfect. Many thanks to Sharon, my very attentive server.
