Best beer in the area!!!! Very nice place sitting over the Ammonoosuc River. You can't beat the view. All the food is great especially their homemade pretzel with sharp cheddar beer cheese dip. I wish they opened up another brewery near NJ.
I came here with my partner after searching for a place to eat, and this was the only place I was interested in trying. We had to wait about 45 minutes at 1400 on a Monday (tourism season), and it was worth it. We got the bratwurst plate and an eggplant specialty pizza. The pizza is thin crust and perfectly cooked, I was very happy with the quality! I loved the bratwurst!!

We spent more time than initially wanted here because it takes a while to prepare the food. The waiter was nice though, and we liked the interior. The view of the River is also majestic. The food is pretty good, and they also have growlers to go, which is great.
Can't beat the atmosphere here on a nice day. Especially overhanging the river. There was an hour wait to be seated, so we used that time to walk the trail that runs along the river. The bridge is a beautiful spot for pictures, and the kids loved it! We grabbed two pizzas, one being the Chicken Maple Bacon, it was gone dam near instantly! Ordered another to go, along with their delicious Sea Salted Chocolate Chip cookie. The beer was also very refreshing here. We drank at the beer garden next door to the main building while we waited and was happily surprised with their crisp taste. Our friends brought us here, which was a 45-minute drive from where we were staying for our vacation, and it was worth every minute of the commute hands down! Can't wait to come back during the ski season this winter!
This place is amazing!!!
I came here after a long, solo hike in the White Mountains and I was super hungry and thirsty. The hostess seated my promptly and suggested I sit in the heated outdoor seating area because it's gorgeous, I took her suggestion and she was 100% right - it's beautiful! My server was very friendly and came around really quickly with water and a menu.
I ordered the special - the Tartufo Pizza - and it was I N C R E D I B L E. Wood-fired pizza always hits different but this pizza was something special just LOOK at it. It also came out super quickly, I think I was legitimately in and out for lunch in 30 minutes.
I would totally come back here again, great service, even better food and totally worth the money!
Great place. Beer selection was good. Pretzel roll appetizer was excellent. Had two pizzas that were some of the best we've had. Our kids lived them too. My son gave the pizza a 10 out of 10. Nice view of the river and ped bridge.
One of our favorite places in all of New Hampshire! My wife is a travel nurse and we love this area. We’ve come back two summers now and always stop at Schilling after a big hike. They make excellent European-inspired beers, and food. There’s such a wide range, and their taps are always rotating. (They do have several core beers along with seasonals. Even if you come often, there’s always something new.) Their pizza is great, and with the recent addition of the Mill St. Kitchen, they have even more food options. Do yourself a favor, sit on patio, order their pretzel (Pro tip, get all three sauces) and enjoy a delicious beer, while taking in views of the Ammonoosuc.
This is probably our 5 visit, I think it's the best atmosphere; I love sitting on the covered porch overlooking the river, it's absolutely amazing. In the winter it's enclosed with heaters. The Loaded Pizza is my favorite, gluten free crust is excellent. And they have dry cider
Absolutely amazing place!! We enjoyed walking around and we sat at the bar, really great! We got cider because we have gluten allergies ... the beer looked delicious. People next to us got pizza, we didn't ask if they have gluten free, the pizza smelled awesome! Staff was great
This place is exactly what I hoped it would be. Great beer and food to match. I love all of the German and Bavarian inspired beers. Sometimes, twisting flavors into new beers just goes too far. Schilling sticks to a more traditional approach and just focuses on getting the foundations balanced to perfection. The Schaumeier is a great example of that. We got the Pastoral pizza and I couldn't help but think of Beethovens sixth for a moment as the goat cheese, balsamic drizzle, and wild arugula intertwined to vivid melodic flavors. The cheese pizza was good but mostly for the kids. The baked chocolate chip cookie was my only slight disappointment because the name implied (to us) that it would be warm but in fact it was cold. The creme brulee was a surprise finale and had a lengthier vanilla finish than most.
This place is a gem. Right on the river, you can hear the water run and the view is beautiful. Service was an A+. We had the BLT pizza and a salad-excellent! We are pizza snobs and we definitely give this place a thumbs up! Lindsey was friendly and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed the entire experience!
