This is the first dinner spot we chose based on zomato ratings. It was a good thing as the drive up to the run down strip mall, left something to be desired. However, the restaurant was clean and well loved. When they talk about ohana in the islands, you do not see that level of care often stateside.

Our coke and ice tea never hit empty without a refill. Conversations at the bar and other tables were happy, full of joy and I so not belief that I am overstepping to say it is how everyone is treated when they enter. This is not just a business, this is life.

Edamame were seasoned well in chili sauce and as we looked over the sushi menu, we picked our typical favorites- spicy tuna, sashimi and nigiri mixes. All of which were skillfully prepared and were excellent. The special menu though is what caught us off guard. We had to ask for help without a guide to the type of roll.

Blue crab roll- spiced mayo and avocado... Amazing. I was lucky to get two of the right pieces it was so incredibly good.

The big nasty- anything but nasty. Mango, avocado, crab, salmon... It was the fresh fruit in the roll that truly kept this rainbow of a roll refreshing and allowed the palette something new that was a great surprise.

Da big kahuna- ok the name even sounded cheesy coming out of my mouth, but this roll was the recommendation of the staff and it went beyond expectations. Deep fried cream cheese, asparagus, multiple fish with no rice. The sauce was so good that I was tempted to pull my finger across the plate to enjoy the last portion.

We have been to the most well known sushi restaurants in Denver. This was under budget, with a friendly vibe and staff, and the sushi was as good as the den.

We will be back again and hope to increase the size of our culinary ohana.

This Hidden Gem of a restaraunt is wonderful. The great range of menu options allows for a quick lunch or a very nice dinner. For lunch I would recommend Lee's delicious fish tacos or the Juicy Lucy burger, my wife loves his Hawaiian style pulled pork. Dinner options, there are plenty, I love his Danielle Roll, the pesto topping is wonderful. I also like the C-470 on Fire Roll it has a major spicy kick. The WALU is so delicious, anything with the super white tuna and Lee's pesto sauce is heavenly. The Teriyaki Steak is great too. If they made some coconut cake do yourself a favor and get a piece.

Superb Sushi in Littleton CO. OMG!! Iwayama Sushi & Da Big Kahuna Bistro is simply an amazing place to have AWESOME sushi and AWESOME entrees. My family and I were looking for some Aloha here in our home city of Littleton CO, and we found this place. There are other sushi restaurants in Littleton, but this one stands out compared to the competition. Iwayama's Ahi Poke reminds us of the poke we have had many times in Hawaii. The Ahi is shipped directly from Hawaii, so it is very fresh and melts in your mouth. Hands down the best tuna I have add at any sushi place in town. Their sushi shooters are too die for as well. You can't go wrong with anything you order at Iwayama Sushi & Da Big Kahuna Bistro.

Wow!. Have been to this tiny gem of a restaurant. 4 times since Feb. first time was blow away with quality of food. Next three visits proved it wasn't a fluke. Food is incredible from start to finish. Sushi is creative and mighty tasty, better than well known spots. Took a couple last night, they loved the butterfish, Kailua pork, and of course the sushi. Proclaimed they would rather eat here than Ocean Prime any day. Craving the sushi now and it's 7:30 am. Have pork left over...off to make Loco moco.

My husband and I went there recently and had an amazing dinner. My favorites were the fried oyster sashimi(?) and Walu (whitefish tuna with a sesame pesto sauce). So yummy and will be going back soon.

Hidden gem. I kind of don't want to write this for selfish reasons because Lee's place is kind of small and is getting more popular - thus more of a wait but lunch and weeknight dinners are a good time to try if you want to lessen your chances at finding a wait. I can't say more good things about this place and Lee. To have a spot for not just good sushi but great sushi and to have very tasty other options on the menu for your non sushi eating friends/kids - what a find! I would opt for Iwayama over Sushi Den - the sushi is just as good and you get no pretense. It's lacking a little in atmosphere but not bad considering it's in a little hole in the wall strip mall in southwest littleton. The point is the sushi and the community feel - which is what it should be! I hear he even has some mighty tasty green chili- ya go figure - that he puts on some kind of burrito - and his burgers are quite tasty too. The Fuji Apple Blue salad beats out Happa's any day of the week. Though I wouldn't be bummed if he added that little tarro root pancake under his Ahi Poke like they do - but hey the rest is way better.

Ono (delicious). I never thought I could find a place like this in the burbs or Denver for that matter. Excellent sushi and Hawaiian fare. Lee-san is warm and friendly and makes some killer sushi. The sushi is quality, fresh, and doesn't break the wallet. The pulled pork is amazing and is better than some I have had at luaus in Hawaii. Love the rotating specials and I need to come back to try the plate lunch =) Mahalo and we will be back!!!!

Amazing!. Nothing like a local spot that not only has amazing food, unique specials and excellent service - but is a friendly spot where you are a welcome, recognized friend when you walk in the door. Try it for sure! They're on Facebook now too with regular posts about specials.
