Have been here twice now with no experience with Afghan food beforehand. Both times, the kabobs have been so good. I have tried the chicken, beef, and lamb at this point and have not been disappointed. Super juicy and just the right amount of seasoning. The rice and sauces have also been great.
We have always loved coming to Roya but it's been a few months since we ate there. Unfortunately, even though the service was wonderful, they changed the way they cooked their basmati rice. Also the dressing on their dinner salad had very little taste. The rice was overcooked and had raisins and
I was soo excited that Roya was open on Christmas day eve! I love Afghan food! I got the Aushak and chicken kabobs. It came with a green salad. Which I thew away immediately as it was not fresh. The Aushak was flavorful a bit to much sour cream. But as it is 1 of my favorite dishes. I was happy. T
Simply delicious Indian/middle eastern style food (forgive me, this is my first impression of Afghan food). Small and family owned. The lamb Korma and the tomato chicken dish had very delicate flavors and super tender meat.
Prices (had lunch menu) are very reasonable ($11 to $14 entrees) but probab
