Really glad a local premium coffee shop is opening. The coffee is great, the owner and staff are even better! Been to the store a few times for the preview event, cannot wait to see it fully finished. It is definitely an experience that goes beyond drinking coffee, something you dont get from other places. It is well worth the drive(im from Tonawanda) and I highly recommend it, both for the coffee and the staff and owner.
I had the day to kill in Lockport. I wandered around the locks and found myself in this unique coffee shop! It was just the owner and his Uncle, roasting beans and putting up new window art...they were closed on Wednesdays. But they happily told me to come on in and asked me what I would like! The coffee was amazing!
So excited to have another great coffee shop close to home!! The coffee is awesome and the staff are lovely people! Me and Miss Rory will be around quite a bit for our coffee fix! :)
Definitely worth the drive from buffalo to check this place out. Great coffee and the owner was super welcoming.
This is the kind of coffee shop I would go to in Denver and Chicago. Quality coffee that tastes great without adding syrup, cream, sugar, etc. And fair trade! <3 Great atmosphere inside. Chalkboard wall, unique white wood floors, great window seat, industrial decor.
And awesome board game selection!
Today was opening day, so very busy and I'm sure they're learning some things to improve. My suggestion is taking names or something to keep people's orders straight. It's tough to get someone's attention when they're one of several people who ordered a latte.
Would also appreciate a changing table in the bathroom.
What a cool place. Right on the canal. Super friendly staff. Great tasting coffee. Got the French press dark roast and was able to split it with my wife. Definitely will come back again. Love the map of the visitors of the world.
You have to go inside and actually look at the decor. The steampunk look isn't my thing honestly but I think it looks great at this place. Also please try the concoctions in the fridge. Hands down If it's available I get the store made stuff every time with a latte. And I finish it before I get to the car. Also if you like pasties take a look at the counter. Heaven behind the glass
Twenty of us (17 cyclists from the UK and our 3 support crew) called into Steamworks Coffee on a Sunday morning, the first day of our six-day, 553-mile cycle ride from Niagara Falls to Manhattan, and are glad we did! Great coffee and snacks, ideal location next to the Erie Canal and super efficient staff. Thank you!
The lavender coffee specialities are amazing. You can get any specialty either hot or cold.
Was skateboarding by an saw someone come out with a coffee, Sparked my interest so I headed in , was greeted by friendly staff an told them this was my first time, they gave me a lil run down an I grabbed a double shot of espresso, very very delicious even just black really good flavor, i love small local shops like this one so it’s nice to hav one close to me! Can’t believe I never heard of steamworks coffee! Will be back thank you for making this cloudy day alil better !! ✌️
Ive been coming here for about 3-4 years now. Jon and Ashley are very knowledgable of their products, and I am absolutely glad they are here in Lockport. Great pour-overs, wonderful cold brew, and the Gung Fu tea is absolutely amazing! A great assortment as well of pastries and other baked goods from local purveyors. I can guarantee you will not leave disappointed.
And absolute treat. I got a dirty chai which was absolutely delicious. The syrups that they add are homemade and wonderful. I happily come here when I'm in town.
I saw how highly rated they were by local reviewers and thought, “how can I have not yet visited a place so highly rated?”
One sip I’d my seasonal orange hot cocoa later, with a slow, “dayummm”, I knew exactly how it came to be so widely praised. It’s that good. I wish I had another. My SO, who rarely praises coffee, pointed out that baristas has been trained well, and thoroughly enjoyed his mocha and gluten-free biscotti.
I will visit the next time I’m in Lockport.
