This place has always had really good fresh fish and now they've recently remodeled. The new look Johnson's is a nice improvement. The fish sandwich is probably one of the best deals in town, I highly recommend it.
Best shrimp you will EVER taste! Delicious breading, cooked perfectly for a crispy coating that keeps the shrimp moist and tasty.

The absolute best fried shrimp, scallops and catfish. Recommend this place to everyone and the service was friendly and very cool. Don't skip out on Lawrence's in Lombard!! They are definitely worth the stop.
Lots of shrimp and fish sandwich choices. The shrimp is plump and very flavorful. The breading adds a crunch without detracting from the shrimp flavor. We were satisfied and will return. Going to a new restaurant requires trying different items on the menu. We really enjoyed the cod and their Cole slaw. The popcorn shrimp was pretty good too but the fish nuggets were just okay. We were welcomed as we walked in, found it to be clean and comfortable.
Happy for the change. I didn't care for Johnson’s, which was in the same location before I had lightly breaded shrimp, it was very good, cod nuggets were good. Family liked the clam strips. I liked the coleslaw, the fries were really good. Crab cakes are good, but have a little kick, just fyi.
Service is fast and fresh.Food comes out hot. Super clean and friendly.I recommend the pollack fish and chips. I would give it 5 stars only if they made their own tartar sauce and gave out lemon wedges.Besides that, the overall experience for takeout was good.
First visit yesterday was very good. Shrimp were well breaded and tasty. French fries were ok. Cocktail sauce was very good! Will try another side next time. They have daily specials as well and the best one is on Tuesdays. Large shrimp 1lb for only $13...Great deal!
