I have eaten here many many times and it is always excellent! The place is super clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. I have to eat gluten-free (due to allergy not preference) and have never had a problem eating here. The owner was extremely knowledgeable and helpful about the options that would be safe for me to eat. I usually order on-line, which is super easy from their website, and my order is ready to pick up when I arrive. The only difficulty I have with this place is deciding what to order :-) everything I have tried has been delicious, but I think I would have to say the fajitas are my favorite! To top off the great food, I love it when a local business has a caring owner that gives back to the community!
El Famous is hands down the best Mexican food around. They use high quality food for great prices. Definitely a place you and your family can go and enjoy some delicious authentic Mexican food! If your in the area, I would highly suggest trying El Famous Burrito!
Just had the most excellent dining experience! I was asking the cashier for steak milanesa tacos, and she informed me they didn't have them. The manager overheard me and came over and asked me how many do you want? Needless to say, I was very impressed! Not only that, but the manager put on Pitbull music from his Pandora when I was inquiring about the music!!! Made me a very satisfied customer!! Thanks again!!!
We had catering from El Famous (taco bar) for a 30th birthday party at our house. The food was great- everyone loved it and went back for 2nds! I would highly recommend El famous!
Went here last week and got the chile relleno taco. It was amazing and fresh. I can't wait to go again! I know this place just got new ownership recently and I talked to the owner Kevin. What a great guy! I love supporting local businesses.

I went to El Famous Burrito on a Friday evening to grab a quick dinner. I chose to take-out since the atmosphere of the restaurant did not offer anything special. The service from the cashier was fantastic. He was nice and respectful and helped me out to decide what to have. The food was ready within 2-3mins after I ordered it. The food was good, but not the best. I have to give it 4 out of 5 stars, but I recommend trying this place out.
We have been customers at this location for years. Great food! I will say the quality of the steak has gone down lately. Overcooked or with gristle. I have notified management and they have always been accommodating. So service here is great. But I just haven’t seen an improvement in the quality of the meat as of lately. But we continue to be loyal and have hope that we’ll see improvement soon because you won’t find a better staff than here!
The service here is always fast and friendly. I'm a huge fan of the steak burrito. Like most places in the area the prices have increased over the last few years, but it is still very reasonable for the amount of food.
How famous has been around since I was a young child. We used to go all the time for the burritos and churros. When they got new owners, I was initially worried that one of my favorite spots would start going downhill, but the owner has kept up with the place and has you’ve been gone the extra mile with the restaurants social media presence. It is no longer just a restaurants with great food and an amazing atmosphere, but now a staple of the Lombard community. I’m coming for that 5 pound burrito

Great food and service is always friendly. Los tops used to be my go to but it has gone downhill drastically and El Famous has proven to be the better option. Only drawback is the app auto adds a tip, not a fan of that.
Nice workers, professional service, and great food. When we had a concern about food quality once (food tasted bland and unseasoned) it was met with the proper response and handled by our next visit

I had the steak and poblano burrito, it was good and plentiful for the price. Place was empty but the food was fresh and tasted much better than other corporate burrito places that have become the norm.

I drive out of my way to eat here, it's a great place for tacos and burritos.
Not sure how they did it but this place is perfect, supremely fast and friendly staff. The team here works almost like if they were choreographed. they communicate well and play off each other's strengths. it's hot here and watched for a while and there's such speed in which they deliver amazing taste, there's definitely an influence of other countries in their cuisine here you can detect that in the taste it is unlike any Mexican place I've ever been to.
The lady at the register (Supervisor I guess) was super helpful today and it's greatly appreciated...The tacos were sooo yummy...In regards to the lady at the register, I had misplaced my wallet and she helped me out, thanks...
