Reviews Szechwan Chinese Restaurant

One of the best places (and few places) for dim sum in the South Bay. We drive all the way down from Santa Monica for dim sum here instead of fighting the crowds in Monterey Park or at Sea Empress in Redondo Beach. They don't have some of the exotic stuff that other dim sum places have, but they have the standards. Their regular menu is pretty good, too, and a lot of it is Cantonese rather than Szechwan. We've come here for family gatherings and even had my daughter's graduation party here.

My friends, family and I have been eating at Szechwan restaurant in Lomita since the early 1980s. It was just a little building at first, then it doubled in size by expanding to the west, then doubled in size again by building out to the south. And the reasons why they were able to---great food, always, and reasonable prices. The best won ton soup, barbecued spare ribs, and Hot Braised Shrimp anywhere!!!

Had lunch with my daughter and friends! This Chinese restaurant specializes in Dim Sum (Chinese dumplings) that are tasty, fair priced and served from carts that circulate inside the restaurant! That offer a great variety of choices freshly made! Service is outstanding! I highly recommend trying this place!

This place is a SOLID choice. The chicken feet and spare ribs are the best they offer. Wow! Delicious and tender. The fish is also a regular order from us. This can run anywhere from $10/person to $30/person depending on how hungry and how clever you are with ordering filling dishes. Other good choices: sesame balls, the egg tart, shrimp eggplant balls, the fried shrimp balls. Reduced selection because of COVID. Friendly staff, though. Good atmosphere and great service. They charge for tea, unfortunately. I was on the lookout for friend taro cakes, egg tarts, and sticky rice. Unfortunately, not to be had this time around. Regardless, delicious time!

Great service! Very helpful staff! Food was delicious. They had the hottest mustard. Tofu wrap was crispy and delicious. Very crunchy walnut shrimp. Not over coated with mayonnaise. Dim sum was a bit limited. But is good

They have pretty good dim sum in Lomita. Their other items on the menu are mediocre to authentic flavors when it comes to Chinese cuisine within the Los Angeles County. Place is clean & organized. Their service is great here and are friendly as they welcome you to your dining table. Checked up on us frequently and made sure everything was ok.

I have not been here for many years, but went recently for lunch. Had a bowl of hot and sour soup with an order of honey walnut shrimp. I was so pleased that the place had not changed and everything was perfect. The food was delicious, the service was prompt and everybody was so welcoming. The restaurant was very clean and a real pleasure to be eating there. I plan on returning as often as I can.
