(A big thank you to our friendly server, Kelsey!) Hands down the very best cafe I've ever visited! The prices are more than fair for the amount of food you're getting, and the quality! I got the breakfast burrito with sausage and it's definitely become my favorite breakfast burrito to date. The golden hashbrowns, eggs, melted cheese, and sausage were all incredible, especially paired with their fresh orange juice, topped with an orange slice. ♡ I also had a craving for their french toast and asked if I could have that as my side, instead of the toast and bagel they offer. They said I could, and I'm so glad they did because their french toast was so good--it was a close second to my mom's homemade french toast slices! Not too sweet, not overloaded with powdered sugar, just perfect. And our server, Kelsey, was so polite, kind, and friendly, definitely made us feel welcomed and attended to despite us sitting outside. I've found in many restaurants, if you ask for outdoor seating, the servers tend to forget about you. But here, not one, not two, but three! servers visited our tables to check up on us and deliver our food and drinks. My girlfriend got the Coconut Cream Iced Coffee paired with the Berry Toast that was loaded with blueberries, strawberries, a delicious spread of cream cheese and syrup, I even asked for a bite. Her coffee was amazing, too, and came in a huge, super cute mason jar! If you're ever in long beach and you want quality breakfast for a great price, make sure to stop by Meant to Be Cafe!
New breakfast/lunch spot opened up in my old hood. Wish they were here when I was. Talk about tasty. The avocado toast was BOMB!!! The setting and decor are not your traditional and I like it! They also own a clothing store which is attached. As a fellow entrepreneur I really give it up to the owners who were real cool. They also have a door from the Queen Mary. Great breakfast.
Stopped by with my lovely wife last Saturday during the "soft opening". Not everything was available but a lot more was available than I would expect from a soft opening. All in all the food tasted great and the service was next level! They have a clothing shop attached to the café that has a bunch of stylish ladies clothing too.
Anyway I'm giving it 5 stars because the food tasted good, the service was great and most importantly for me the location is as good as it gets for local neighborhood people. I have no association with the owners or this business other than paying money for food. That said I want nothing more than for this business to thrive in my neighborhood, if you are in the area or live in this neighborhood give Meant to be Cafe a shot, I think this family owned and operated business will make you happy that you did.
