We enjoyed our food and drinks here. The service was great. The inside was small but there was a lot of space outside too. The food came out quickly. Also they had a happy hour when we were there with 6$ margaritas!

Definitely a gem that I did not expect. Came here to grab dinner before a movie and was blown away by the food. Chilaquiles we’re on point and the margaritas were delicious. A fun vibe inside and I’d definitely come back to not rush it next time. Would recommend if you’re looking for a spot in the area!

So enjoyed a delicious dinner here with friends in a warm day over the Memorial Day weekend before a movie at the theater around the corner…the waitstaff brought the food we had ordered quickly and in the most beautiful presentation - everything tasted fresh flavorful and healthy… we enjoyed the Spanish music and the friendly atmosphere … A baby shower was taking place in the room adjacent to our table and it was a sweet friendly vibe all around… thankful for a great meal with friends at such a sweet place…

Found it! My new menudo home! After a long search, finally its over worth the wait. Here's the story....lived in TX 14 years, ate menudo for lunch, then I moved! 10 yrs later, I've found my love again and I'm overjoyed to share my experience. Love the atmosphere. My kind of place. Let's gets to the food. Chickpeas with beef tripe basking in spicy chili broth. 2 words Yum-my, down to the last drop. Smothered with fresh onions, cilantro and lime with warm corn tortillas. The staff is welcoming and shared an interesting history on the menudo soup. This will always be my favorite Mexican dish. Next was deep fried chicken tacos drizzled with cojito and crema, then topped with fresh tomatoes, cilantro, onions. I dipped these in my soup once the corn tortillas were finished. For dessert was freah churros woth chocolate sauce. A perfect ending to a lovely dinner. This is food to enjoy and to share your experiences. El Mero Mero is my new Mexican spot. Thank you for your kindness and attention to detail. This feels like home. Top of the line. The best in NYC!

I had a great night here with my friends. Food was great, drinks were tasty, and people were friendly. 🍹For the drinks, both champagne sangria and passionate margarita were good. 🥑guacamole was fresh and delicious. I also love their chips a lot. I like the sauce of Mole poblano, rich with various spices although the chicken was slightly dry. Taco was the same. The flavor was great but the pork was also a little bit dry. Last, the tres leches cake was not a bad choice, housemade!

Awesome food, service and ambience. Great Happy Hour as well $5 margaritas and beers. Super authentic vibe. Only took my wife and I 8 years of living in the neighborhood to try it. Will be back for sure!

This is definitely among the liveliest places in Astoria. The food is exquisite and the drinks are wonderful. Add that to a solid wait service and beautiful decor, and you get a restaurant worth going to. It also doesn't hurt that it's located right next to Kaufman Regal cinemas so it really is a perfect dinner and movie type of place.

El Mero Mero is a delicious and authentic Mexican restaurant. Very clean and welcoming decor. Great tequila selection and even better food. The guacamole is perfect and so are the tacos. Can’t go wrong with the shrimp quesadillas either. Highly recommend coming here. Make reservations in advance.

This place felt like our paradise! A haven for Latinx with amazing music! The food was so delicious, my husband and I felt this place was one of the best/comparable restaurants to those in Mexico City. Staff is so friendly and accommodating, ended the night cheering with everyone at the bar! Truly a delight, cannot wait to visit again! I’ve been craving Paloma’s ever since I had it here! High recommended! Safe environment for young POC! Amazing throughout!

Food and service was amazing. I'm always looking for places that have that true authentic flavor and this place has exceeded my expectations by far. It was a little on the pricey side but it was definitely worth it. Will definitely be returning.

Colorful escape to good eats! Lots of outdoor seating, and a really bright fun indoor setting around a bar. Good portion sizes, fresh made guacamole, lots of chips, little personal salsas (a spicy green and a smoky red), and great margaritas!
