Discovered this gem after a morning of kayaking. WOW! First of all, the view is spectacular. I highly recommend sitting outside. Our waiter, Jarret, was super. I even tried frog legs for the first time! My husband said they were the best he’s ever had. I had the Florida Steampot & it was amazing. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. My husband had the Caribbean Chicken Sandwich, which he enjoyed very much. What a great, laid back spot to grab a bite. We will definitely be back soon.
This is one of the best places on LBK. We were very lucky to get married here on 16-10-17 it was beautiful and the staff were fantastic especially Erica and Anthony who went above and beyond on our special day. There is no where else like it and would highly recommend it to all especially the tater tots 👍🏻

Went to Mar Vista last night for a "date night" with my hubby. The service was GREAT, the food was excellent - I would highly recommend the Shrimp Bud Bowl (messy but DELICIOUS), and the atmosphere was beautiful - on the water, by the docks. 20 minute drive from Anna Maria and a great place to venture to off the island... HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
This place is great! Good food, great views, reasonable prices. Plus, the service was good. Will definitely be back.
Enjoyable evening at Mar Vista. Grounds are beautiful. I haven't been in several years and the updates to the restaurant area. You have the option of sitting on a paved patio with view or under the lights and trees, feet in sand, water front.
We had a variety from the menu and everyone was happy with their food. Wait staff was attentive and friendly. The bartender was a delight!
Mar Vista Dockside is our new favorite waterfront dining experience in Sarasota. My family had a fantastic Sunday afternoon-early dinner to end the long Thanksgiving weekend. We really lucked out by getting one of the tables right at the waters edge. I got my seasonal Stone Crab fix, which were perfectly cracked, cold and delicious. My wife had the crab cakes, which dare I say were better than any of the Crab Cakes I’ve had on several trips to Baltimore. Lots of crab and very little filler. My son had the Tuna Poke Bowl which was equally outstanding. The atmosphere under the trees along the water was just what we had been craving! Great service, food and atmosphere. We can’t wait to dine here again!
Fantastic dinner experience! The atmosphere was the most romantic we’ve seen around the AMI/LBK area. The food and service were exceptional (favorites include the tortilla soup, grouper risotto, and key lime pie!). Even though it was evening, the outdoor setting underneath the trees was gorgeous. We hope to return again in the daytime to fully enjoy the view!
Had a great dinner here with my husband. The food was delicious. Our waiter was very friendly. He gave us some interesting info on the trees and plants within the restaurant. We had a lovely evening eating under the light strung trees.
What a wonderful surprise! When I entered and saw the beautiful buttonwoods, creating the most incredible atmosphere, it only made the dining experience incredible. The food was delicious and the service was second the none! Great dining experience!
