Me and two of my girlfriends was here for the first time. Parking was a little tricky, but the restaurant was super cute and comfy. Out door patio was cozy and warm. Drinks were good. We shared several appetizers, hummus, Brussels sprouts, cheese platter and a flatbread pizza all were great. Service was excellent. A little on the pricey side but truly worth it.

My husband and I went here to have brunch, and it was our first time here as well. Their food is amazing and the atmosphere is beautiful with pretty lights and seatings. If you're there try their house made pop tart and you will have a whole new definition of pop tarts! Seriously it was the best food we had in LA. The staff is wonderful as well, we had a great time here!

The food was amazing. I had the French toast and it was delicious and SO filling. The bottomless mimosas were delicious and Lexi the waitress was so sweet and prompt and always refilled our drinks without asking. I would definitely eat here again!

Was there for the first time Saturday and really enjoyed it. It was a brunch menu and I had the shrimp, sweet potato hash, and it was delicious! Hubby had the steak and eggs, it was slightly cooked more than three medium rare he asked for, but still very good, and both presented very nicely. We also had the beignets which were great. Servers were friendly and attentive. Can't wait to go back next time I am out that way.

Not to be missed

Beautiful setting. Attentive service. Delicious food. Reasonable for the quality of ingredients & the diversity of the menu. Wish we had more time here.

Lovely setting

Breakfast buffet was simple but enough selection. A la carte was delicious. Lunch was very good value with large serves. Rose served all day USD $20 - great value!

In LA there are a slew of hotels that offer exceptional restaurants. In Studio City, the beloved Garland Hotel's signature restaurant is a lot of fun.

The interior has been renovated since it was Warren's Blackboard. It's attached to the 1970s hotel named after the legendary Hollywood actress, Beverly Garland. Her son James took over the property and expanded The Garland into a sophisticated hotel with a new restaurant. Executive Chef Chris Turano was at the Bacara Resort in Santa Barbara before creating the new Front Yard menu.

The chic interior offers hints of the 1970s throughout. There are macrame knotted geometric pattern wall hangings and contemporary grass cloth wallpaper. Glass globe lights hang in the interior dining room under a thick plaster ceiling that looks like whipped buttercream frosting on a cake.

Try the cucumber press cocktail made by head bartender Will Cutting. He mixes Bulldog gin, lime juice, cilantro, cucumber, and combier pamplemousse, which is a grapefruit flavored triple sec.

Chef Turano is an expert at seafood with his grilled red wine glazed octopus with pickled ramp aioli, spiced crisp chickpeas, and a radish salad. We also ordered his wild halibut entree. It's delivered to his kitchen as a whole fish before Turano butchers the 30 pound fish himself. One side of the halibut is pure white in color, the other side is darker and more gray. He takes the pure white meat of the fish and prepares it with three different cauliflowers. It's served with a blond gastrique made with Chardonnay and sprinkled of sugar and butter. The dish is colorful with small green cauliflower florets and pickled beech mushrooms.

For dessert be sure to order the salted caramel pudding in a jam jar with freshly popped salted caramel popcorn decorating the plate.

The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, brunch and dinner.

Came for thanksgiving dinner which was a buffet and was not disappointed. We wanted to try lots off things but not overeat which this was perfect for. The atmosphere was so peaceful outside next to the fire. Our server Josh (I think) was great and so attentive, he even had time to laugh at my husband's jokes. The festive cocktail menu was fabulous and hard to choose when you wanted to try them all. Very relaxed, cosy place. Great 8 dollar valet for restaurant guests. We would love to come back next time we're in LA.

Beautiful seating area at the front yard of the garland hotel. They serve a nice buffet spread and have good options on their menu for à la carte. The service was a bit slow during the time we visited but the server was friendly. Has both the indoor and outdoor seating plan. Both are pretty.

Love the ambiance Beautiful restaurant It’s too bad my camera can’t capture the beauty. Feels like I’m on a vacation! Had lunch with a friend. Amazing brussels sprouts, great grain salad. The only thing that was just okay was the pastrami sandwich. Liked how they validate the parking tickets. Would totally come back for other items on the menu!

Really nice restaurant with a great terrasse! The waiter was really nice and give very good recommendations on the menu, we took the ham and cheese plate it was really good, then I took the T-bone and pasta. The dessert were really nice too we took the cookies one and a chocolate cake they were really good and tasty The only bad thing was even if we had a reservation, we still had to wait 15 minutes at the entrance to get the table. But otherwise it was a really nice night at the restaurant

A absolute wonderful experience. Came for Saturday breakfast. Was seated quickly in the patio. Great views and ambiance. Robert was a wonderful server. Very attentive and friendly. Managers checked in with us several times to ensure we were being taken care of. Coffee was strong. Huevo Ranchero was excellent. Some of the best tasting chili Verde I've had. Homemade English muffins were also very good. The blueberry pancake had just the right amount of big blueberries and had a great crispy edge. Absolute great experience. We are only visiting, but if we were local, this would be a weekly favorite. Paid valet parking is available.

We stayed at The Garland hotel, so ordered a couple of times from The Front Yard, and every time it was excellent! I can't lie, the prices are kind of high, but every restaurant is expensive nowadays. The nachos with pulled pork are AMAZING. Simply delicious, and there's enough food for two. We loved it so much we ordered them twice during our stay. We also had the flatbread, and it was flavourful. The service was excellent, the food was fresh and hot every time, and I'd happily come back here again to eat!

Hands down, this is my favorite brunch spot in LA. For price, quality of food, ambiance and service are all 5 star. My favorite thing for brunch is the hot chicken and biscuits, but you really can’t go wrong with any of the selections. My friend got the steak and eggs, and it was delish! They used to do bottomless mimosas and now they do pitchers, but it’s honestly still a good deal. Mostly because it’s more of a mimosa cocktail rather than just champagne and OJ. All the sweet treats are amazing too on the brunch menu. We got all 3! So so good!

We recently stayed at The Garland and had a dinner, a breakfast, and a late night happy hour at The Front Yard. We are glad we did! The food was amazing! The service was good, the staff was very friendly. For dinner, we shared the blue crab stuffed branzino. It takes awhile to cook, so do not order it if you’re in a hurry. However. Soooo worth the wait. Breakfast was avocado toast piled high with smashed avocados topped with veggies. Finally, our Kate night happy hour had us noshing on deviled eggs and crispy Brussels sprouts. The prices are high, I mean, it’s a boutique hotel restaurant in NoHo. I’ve got no regrets and will happily return.

Great place for celebrations, or just a yummy lunch/brunch. Food is fresh and tasty. Service is fantastic. The only struggle was parking. But it won't stop me. BTW. Drinks 🍸 or fabulous 👌
