Good place to have a quick dinner. We had fish and chips, burger and steak. The red wine sauce wasn't great on my steak. And something i didn't like was gratuity added on the check for 4 people. Our server was Mia, she was nice and stopped by a few times.
It is quite expensive for what you are getting. This place has a very nice atmosphere but the burger I ordered left more to be desired. It was kind of bland. The bar tenders are friendly and very attentive here so make sure to tip. Service was quite fast. I'm not sure if I'll visit again but this place is popular with travelers and tourists.
The Pig 'N Whistle is a classic old school Hollywood pub located on Hollywood Boulevard, almost exactly in the center of the action. They have local brews on tap and their guacamole and chips we're fresh and fantastic. We stopped in to grab a pint and a snack while walking some visitors around and sight seeing, it really was the perfect spot to recharge our batteries and I can't recommend it more for that particular reason. I'll be back to try out the dinner menu!
Came here with my friend as our last night in LA and we were both blown away by this restaurant! First, the music choice was stellar, and we loved the interior style. But the food is the real star of this place. I had the filet mignon and it was absolutely delicious! Juicy yet tender and smothered in a decadent cheese sauce, it was definitely worth the price. I also had the Blues Berry Brothers cocktail and it was the perfect amount of berry sweetness so that I hardly tasted the alcohol.
Also the atmosphere was lively but very comfortable, which was a huge relief from the craziness of the rest of Hollywood blvd. I definitely recommend this place!
We had a great experience! Our server, Max, really took very good care of us and made us laugh too. There was a great playlist, nice size burgers, and one of the best Bloody Mary’s I’ve ever had. The aesthetics of this building are beautiful, just an over all good time. Thank you!
Right on the Boulevard, Pig 'N Whistle offers a great menu of beers, and good food. They have a 2-1 drinks during Happy Hour, as you see on my picture. Great atmosphere, booths and tables available. Two patio booths at the entrance. Hollywood-like. Cozy place with a good atmosphere. I met some folks from Tracy ,CA who were kind to buy my second round of beer, (A shout out to them!) Told me is a great place to have a beer, and have great Happy Hour. Friendly staff, bartenders and servers.
Decor is amazing, has a friendly and artistic atmosphere. The way tables and booths are set is awesome, giving you a good feel while you dine. Bartender Jason is fast at getting your drinks.
You can't miss it as it is right next door to the Egyptian Theater. Prices are excellent.
Good food, good atmosphere, I had the cajun chicken club sandwich with greens. Reasonably priced for being on hollywood Blvd. Ambiance was sultry, dim inside with candles lit. Service was great.
An Irish pub in the middle of Hollywood boulevard. Waiters are nice and the bartender is very proficient in keeping an eye on your glass when it's getting empty. However, beware of the bathrooms if you had too much to drink, because it is a maze downstairs to get there and one misstep will leave you in the ER in no time.
I had Bangers and mash Julz had a steak salad. Great atmosphere.
Enjoyed the food, had a nice cider. Very Interesting history.
Good food. Unfortunately I had cork in my wine & there were fruit flies around our table. Otherwise ok.
Really good food for an old time pub!
Good food. Ride my bike on a hot day. The lady working was so nice she offer me a free sample item on my plate, she said I would like it and I did. Also offer me a cup of ice water because it was hot outside. Would come here again. Nice little place with wifi.
Reasonable price & tasty food
They set &charge their own service fee tho :s
Location: Situated on the amidst the Hollywood stars in which is a great place to grab a bite to eat for a reasonable price. Apart from the interesting name the vibe of this American bar is dark, dingy, but has great character.
Food Quality: Had lunch here with some friends from Australia and they enjoyed it very much. Good quality and paired with a satisfying environment. Large menu with a large variety.
Service: Wasn't very busy when we came. Probably just the three of us and another person at the bar. Bartender was quite friendly and showed us what was good on the menu.
Environment: Good booth and table seating everywhere.
OVERALL: Would recommend and seems like a good place to come check out at night. (4/5) stars because a good, authentic, old bar that I'm quite hopeful to come again
Good food. Friendly staff. Beautiful old building.
First off, the structure and detailing of the space was vintage and beautiful, with colored lights and plenty of booths to sit at. The servers were helpful and drinks and food were ready in a short time. The food was excellent! So good I finished my whole plate of steak salad. My husband got the fish and chips and both of our tastebuds were in heaven. I am definitely going back!
I ordered the rib eye steak but it had a lot of peppercorns on it. I ordered the sauce on the side which was quite nice for washing the pepper off my steak. Fries were good and the meal size was good so I didn't need an appetizer or dessert. Drinks selection was good, service was a little slower but ok.
