Factor’s Famous Deli on Pico Blvd, Los Angeles. I had a thick cut pastrami sandwich with a side of potato salad. That was a great sandwich and potato salad. They brought out some salty style Russian pickles as an appetizer. I’m not a dill pickle guy and they were a bit salty for me, but my coworker liked them. The Beaver mustards they provided were good. I liked the Deli mustard more than the Sweet Hot. That one for me (I’m not a sweet sauce person) was way to sweet, and I didn’t really get the hot. But it did have good flavor. Overall, another good choice for a meal stop with Wil Powell this evening.

Turns out there is a nice New York deli right here in LA. Factors Famous Deli was just a short walk from our hotel so we got to experience breakfasts and dinners over a few days. The menu is extensive and the food is delicious. Pastrami and corned beef sandwiches with meat piled so high you can’t get your mouth around the sandwich. But you can order half sandwiches so you can at least finish your meal. Another strategy is to have an order of toast and split the meat into two sandwiches. Serve breakfast all day and they have a deli counter if you want to bring some cold cuts or sides home with you. No beer or wine but a big selection of beverages. Service was pleasant and competent and prices were very reasonable. A rewarding dining experience, particularly if you miss or want a New York deli experience. We give Factors four clams on the coveted Five Quahog Rating Scale.

Love this deli. First time dining at Factor’s this morning and we all had a great brunch. Service was prompt, polite, and we were seated as soon as we arrived. They have valet parking out front, but we were able to find street parking close by for our 11AM Saturday brunch. I especially love all the booths inside and how quick they were with refills and bringing the food out. Our server was very polite and did a great job. They have a huge menu to order from and breakfast, lunch, or dinner was available. I chose the Beet Borscht to start which was great and followed up with the Eggs Benedict. It was cooked well and the portion was fair. I look forward to coming back in the future to try more items. Overall a great deli and I would recommend to anyone deli fan or not.

3.5 solid rating I’m leaving. There wasn’t a host, and employees in the general area were too busy to give direction on what to do, where to go, or what to expect. So we edged closer to the areas we saw a tables by which we came to a podium. It was there we were helped and seated. Our waitress was a middle aged woman who was a pleasant one. She greeted us with eyes that smiled. She was informative of the menu and helped us quite quickly. We ordered pastrami sandwich with coleslaw and macaroni salad. And I ordered an egg white feta wrap for he sorts. Chips and guacamole. The food came out hot and ready and was verrryyyyy filling. We had some for take home after. The onions rings were cooked perfect which was a touch crispy. The wrap that I got was solid. Nothing special and nothing bad. My mom said she loved the pastrami and the pickles and mustard offered made that a good dish. Dessert was a carrot cake, brownie, and strawberry shortcake. These were all phenomenal!!! In the future I look forward to trying more items in their menu.

I have always loved Factor's. I feel - in my opinion - they make the best tuna melt with a side of potato salad, that I've had anywhere ever. So getting back to Los Angeles last week and we made Factor's our first stop. We walked in seconds before a big rush, yet we, along with a couple of others, were left standing in a small line with no one showing any of us to the empty tables, or even just telling us to take the first table we could find. EVENTUALLY someone organised seating for us all, and we sat ready to order. I think since Covid, they've remodeled a little and there seems to be fewer tables, which might explain why people have to wait so long to be seated. I got the tuna melt and potato salad and it lived up to my expectations based on all of the past visits. The service was good and the food was great and we were both happy. We decided to try it for breakfast the next morning (since we've only ever been there for lunches) and to be honest, in our opinion, the breakfasts aren't as good. Their blintzes were just ok, and everything we ordered was "just okay." I feel there's a nicer vibe here at lunch and I would never do a breakfast here again. IF you're lucky, you can potentially find a park in a side street (we managed both visits), or otherwise you're subjected to valet and it's like $5 or so. I do love it here. The food overall is good and the atmosphere is also. There's a little deli area where you can buy meats and fish and even cakes and sweet foods. It's in a perfect location and I will always visit when back in Los Angeles. The one reason they lost a star is that they allow dogs in, and one dog in particular (in pics) was climbing on the seating. I’m sorry, but people with pets should sit outside.

Delicious old world style jewish deli. All of your favorites are on the menu and easy on the pocket book. Great portions to boot.

5 stars for the yummy deli food. Classic sandwiches on rye and much more. Minus 1 for the prices, quite high. Photo of vegan corned beef on rye with yellow mustard. Came with coleslaw and lots of pickles on the side.

This is a good spot for soup and a sandwich. We like to head here about once a month during the afternoon after the lunch rush. It’s consistent and the bakery has a good selection of cookies and sweets. Be sure try the pickles and potato salad.

The best deli in LA . For many reasons. Pastrami always lean. Sandwiches not too big or small. Never really crowded and a real new york deli in LA. Hate the parking situation but worth it on every level. Deserts are great , cookies and all good old deli comfort cookies.

My favorite deli in LA. Good food and old fashioned feel while staying clean and not looking run down. There is a deli in front to buy meats, cheese, halva, drinks… you can get half a sandwich with soup- even matzo ball. Best of all - good coffee with your meal and a real egg crème! The location is a little cumbersome- fast traffic speeding by and few parking places. I think they have valet. Or maybe folks just take a whole lot of time to unload at the front door. Good corned beef, pastrami is not too fatty. the brisket as good too. Plus the bus boy took our photo.

At the same location on Pico for 71 years, in addition to excellent food with generous portions, this restaurant pays homage to the film/entertainment industry and Los Angeles sports. The walls are packed with signed and framed sports jerseys from Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Kings and include signed photos of sports legends such as Muhammed Ali. Additionally, the walls are lined with numerous signed and framed movie posters such as Mel Brooks "Silent Movie" and "Young Frankenstein", Leonard Nimoy "Spock", Harrison Ford "Star Wars" posters, as well as signed and framed tributes to Academy Awards winners, the Rat Pack, and a mural of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz. The menu first begins with a black and white photo of the proprietors Lilli and Herman Markowitz, with a note from the the Markowitz Family about their parents. Secondly, the 6 page menu includes traditional Jewish delicatessen food for breakfast (omelttes, breakfast wraps and baked goods) lunch (soups, pita pockets, sandwiches, paninis and chili) and dinner. You can order grilled, charbroiled, fried, dip, barbecue or open face sub sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, deli and fish platters, salads - they even offer diet plates, low carb choices, stir fry, south of the border and vegetarian options. There is a wonderful deli full of fresh meats, salads and desserts, as well as snacks, bottled water, soda and souvenirs. It is a no fuss family oriented restaurant (yes there is a children's menu). Perfect for getting together with your family or dining for 2. Patio dining is offered, but the day I visited it had been raining so it was closed. The restaurant does offer valet parking, but there is parking on the side streets and on Pico. There are a few coin operated rides for the kids outside the front. The food is excellent and portions are generous. I look forward to my next visit!

Went tonight for dinner with Dad and was pleasantly surprised with the matzo ball soup and the turkey and bacon triple decker. Also, the movie posters and baseball memorabilia on the walls add a lot of charm.

The food was delicious. The owner knew everyone, which was great! The only thing I would say would be that the service was a little slow. However, everyone is low on staff and that could have been the case here.

Where I live in Fort Collins, Colorado, there are no Jewish delis. My wonderful wife, who learned to make matzo ball soup for me, let me use up 2 hours prior to our return home to visit Factor's Famous Deli. I was in heaven. I tried a tongue sandwich for the very first time and loved it. The matzo ball soup was exactly what I needed. That authentic version is going to have to last me for a few years. Albert, my traveling companion, also gives it a thumbs up.

Yum, yum, yum!! Everything was absolutely perfect, knishes, matzo ball soup, pastrami sandwich, dessert, French toast n sausages, everything. Real home cooking, no frills necessary because the ingredients are high end plus the food was cooked to perfection. The pastrami was bite through, the sausages n French toast was the best I’ve had ina long time and cheese cake delectable. My wife says the MBS was terrific and I munched a knish that was small but incredible. Factor’s will now be on our regular rotation and I suggest anyone reading this to give ‘em a try… Had breakfast just now, Sep 25, ‘22, and WOW, what a fantastic joint. Everything was fresh and delicious, perfect service and great PD clean grub.
