Kanpai Sushi Bar And Grill - Los Angeles - Photo album

Ordered tempura udon, kitsune udon, chicken karaage, chawanmushi and beef teriyaki. Their foods were good and their beef teriyaki was very hard to chew.
This was our first time trying this place. We initially planned on going to the Ramen Joint but their electricity went out. We drove around and found this one. First time trying Ramen and I wasn't disappointed at all.
An incredible sushi experience!!! I must mention that I eat sushi frequently and try to explore new sushi restaurants everywhere I travel to, so I’ve had a good share of sushi pretty much all over the world including Japan, but what these guys make in this small restaurant with a very simple decor i
I had the sashimi selection, and the tuna sushi selection. It was incredible. The flavours with the soy and toppings were artfully perfect. Tried the baked shitaki mushroom and even that was delicious. It's not cheap but the quality is exceptional.
Best service. Great food. I have been to Kanpai for so many year. The food can’t compare with back in the day but still a great sushi place in the town
Not only a local favorite, but the best Sushi restaurant in the area. Famous for their Ramen that you can only get past 10PM, and you can’t take the leftovers home. This is the original Kanpai. The second Kanpai on Jefferson opened a couple years ago. They serve ramen all day, but it’s just not the
Best Ramen, I’m from Mexico and after a flight eating tacos was the best. Now I’m living in USA this ramen is my favorite food after a flight!!! Very convenient is close to LAX ….. need to try more option from the menu but I’m stuck with the Ramen, Does this happen to you too??
Very popular, large menu, from sashimi, sushi, tempura to ramen. The sushi were pretty good, especially the Santa Barbara uni, but 10 pieces for $65 was quite expensive. The tempura and salads were good, a bit more American styled though. Service was very good!
No complaints can be made, if there has to be something… it’s would have to be the price… but you do get what you pay for, which is great food and service =]
My first time there and definitely not my last. The food is amazing super good and fresh. Kanpai is must try you won't be disappointed.
KANPAI is simply amazing. Discovered it years ago and it maintains both quality and service. Fresh uni, detailed cut and flavor in all plates and fish. Spices on point for edamame. Worth the spend and Travel to.
I found Kanpai after an evening of drinking beer at the bar down the street, and have been saving it for special occasions ever since. It is by far the best sushi and ramen I've had in LA. They serve spicy ramen after 10pm until they close at 1am, so that's when I recommend going. The sushi masters
Food is ok. They have a decent menu but a couple of the sushi was not available off the menu. I also believe things were overpriced for what you’re getting but a standard sushi spot.
One of the best sushi restaurant around. Only the best fish, great quality with beautiful flavors. Can get very pricey as they have a very extensive menu ranking from caviar and truffle plates to ramen (after 10pm) and more affordable appetizers. Young crowd. Late dinner.
great place to eat very late night rolls and tempura. good ambiance. just hungry and craving for Japanese food. place not busy. helpfull server. very clean and spacious for a small restaurant. will come back.
Went here for a graduation/mother's day celebration. Keep in mind they close mid day, 3-430 for the dinner rush at least they did on mother's day. The food here is spectacular, I'm vegan and they made me possibly the best dish I've ever had with eggplant, mushrooms and something else I can't recall
We always stop by when in LA! Great Ramen and sushi. We love blue crab hand roll, spicy tuna, salmon, rainbow roll, etc etc My kids love coming here and trying to use chopsticks (but they offer forks if needed). Friendly quick staff and delicious fresh fish makes this our favorite sushi spot!
Still a good experience, but not as special as previous visits. The "omakase" seemed to be pre planned as opposed to what was really fresh and the chef making unique selections for the customers. My guess is that if someone else let them make their choice they would have received the exact same t
