I was visiting from Miami ... the BEST café latte ever!!!
Thank youuuu! My son lives at LA and this is his favorite place for breakfast every single day!
Staff were friendly, coffee decent, pastries okay, the place looks cool love the name
These were easily the best latté and espresso that I have had while on vacay on the West Coast. Highly recommended for those Melbournians who are struggling with Starbucks "coffee".
Great staff, fast service please visit here if it’s your first time in LA
Excellent quality, great atmosphere, high price… everything you ask for in a hipster coffee bar including pretty good Wi-Fi
Been here many times... coffee and espresso are always good... my go to spot in Silverlake
Really like the iced mocha! Always good. Great interior design, too.
Product good but this place is the worst. It's soooooo hip.
Great coffee, better customer service. Adding this to my morning commute makes me so happy.
Intelligentsia Coffee Silver Lake is the granddaddy of third wave coffee in Los Angeles, and this Chicago import is still going strong after ten years. The simple reason as to why is that they serve great coffee.
Australians are definitely coffee snobs & being from Melbourne , we're the country's biggest coffee snobs ! Coffee is in our blood ! Love the space in particular the tiling inside , also liked the outdoor space. My soy latte was okay , I prefer a stronger brew & that's not lukewarm. On the bright side it was the first decent coffee I've had in LA LA land & it was great to have a croissant which wasn't the size of Maui or sickly sweet , big isn't always better ✴Bucks
Must stop if you are in the area and are picky with your coffee!
After living in Australia and coming back to the U.S. , I never could believe I could become a coffee snob. Intelligentsia has a great vibe, great outdoor seating and friendly, efficient servers and baristas. The macchiato was perfect and served with a side of sparkling. The latte was a perfect temp with perfect texture of milk.
We had 5 drinks for $20. Was well worth the price.

Best Coffee Of My Life. This is by far the very best cup of coffee experience I have ever enjoyed. The quality of the beans is impressive. But it is the baristas who set them apart. All of them are really excellent, professional, quick, and knowledgeable. The line out the door is incredible. It actually builds the anticipation. There is no place to hang out comfortably, which is the only drawback.
Favorite coffee place in the whole world.
Gooooooooood Coffee!. I heard someone say coffee is the elixer of the gods... and Intelligentsia certainly knows how to make the elixer. Go there. Do it. Drink it. And be satisfied. You'll have no regrets other than that you didn't come here sooner.
Perhaps the best latte ever. Great service too - these folks know how to make coffee. fair trade coffee for those who are conscious of that. loved hanging out there w a book and checking out the people coming in. stayed until nearly closing time and got no attitude at all from the servers for hanging out w just one latte. super experience.
Real Coffee. Very few places make espresso the right way. Most "baristas" can't even pronounce the word properly -- it's not EKS PRESSO. This place is awesome. You just get the essence of the coffee, not all the extra water, bitterness and caffeine.
It's just like in Italy. I only wish they could make 'em as fast as they do in Italy, but I'm sure they'll get faster as they get better at running the machine.
While in Silver Lake, I took J to Intelligentsia to get his caffeine fix. I’d read about it on another food blog and it had come highly recommended. Look how cool this place is. Even though I don’t actively drink coffee (you know, my caffeine problem), I’
Today was just one of those breezy, spontaneous Saturdays where I wound up doing (and eating... and drinking) quite a lot on the spur of the moment and on my lonesome. Having scrapped Plans A and B with friends (a Runyon Canyon hike and a snowboarding tri
Enjoyed excellent coffee on a rainy Southern California day.
Everything we have ever had here is always great and we always enjoy the ambiance.
Service is quick and quality is evident.
I love @intelligentsia Coffee. Until September, they have a watermelon addition to your coffee. I tried it alone and it was yummy. Maybe it would be better with a soda or tea. I got it without the simple syrup. Everybody is absolutely wonderful. Very prideful, outdoor, covered seating in little Sunset Junction outside mall. Great bakery items.
Coffee has many benefits and finding the right hot brewed coffee takes a delicate balance. Without further a-due let's start the review. Intelligentsia Coffee is specialty coffee-bar that is rich in history owned and operated by a brilliant entrepreneur couple. This location is at the corner of Sunset blvd and Sanborn avenue in Silverlake neighborhood section of LA. And it's quite popular among the locals. They have three other locations throughout metropolitan LA. Intelligentsia's indoor and outdoor atmosphere were very inviting and relaxing with a good view of Sunset blvd. I was warmly greeted by a young female staff. I perused their menu list and they have good selection of coffee and baked pastry. I ordered a hot brewed coffee with light half 'n half and three splenda. Unfortunately, they only offer a 20 oz cup size and that's perfectly fine. However, they don't have a coffee stopper which I detest. Service was moderately fast. Staff was obsequious, competent and followed health protocol. Price was fair for the hippy Silverlake neighborhood. Street metered parking only. Overall, I had a good coffee and order experience. I definitely will come back again and I highly recommend this popular coffee bar shop.
Coffee was good, chai was really good, service was OK, not very helpful, almost annoyed. The place is designed very nice. They have sandwiches too so if you're looking for something more than pastries, make sure to look near the enterance in the cooler.
Pretty good cafe in the city of LA. Coffee is 8/10. Overall atmosphere is pleasant, outdoor seats are delightful especially when the sun is shining through. Nevertheless, I still prefer the one in Venice Beach.
Loved the coffee here. Ordered a cup of mocha coffee and it tasted fantastic! The ambiance was lovely, staff was friendly. Parking was a little bit of challenge though.
I used to come here all the time when I lived in the neighborhood. It felt like coming home. I was greeted with a smile and friendly baristas
Didn't love the draft latte like la colombe. Very good espresso and tonic! One of the best and a great mix of orange bitters.
Great spot. Love all the designs in this place. Good coffee though I prefer the mocha elsewhere. Will try something else next time :)
I love the place, The ambiance is so perfect. The coffee taste so good. Highly recommended
The latte was creamy with an amazing aroma! I don’t recommend the cold brew, though. It was too blended for my taste.
Had an espresso and an off-book mixerato (spelled right?) espresso was fine. The day was nice and the people pleasant.
But the off-book mixerato was fantastic!! I’d go back just for that!!
If you love coffee like I love coffee then this place is worth the trip. Great atmosphere and staff was friendly. It’s refreshing to get a nice, quality cup of joe and enjoy it in a comfortable environment. This place reeks of quality from their talented baristas to their selection of beans
