Y'all just need a little bit larger portions or an extra meat option when ordering... then again it's so that good that I just may be that greedy, lol

My family of 4 including 2 young boys were not reminded to eat. They happily devoured the pork, brisket, and chicken. They loved the Mac n cheese and the lemonade. I will be back within the month. We waited about 8 minutes for our food once order was placed. Love the outside seating under the tree canopy.

We were the first customers on a Saturday. The menu is small but has good options. The patio area is just lovely and offers a direct view of Angels Flight across the street. The cashier gave us our alcoholic beverages right away (beer for my husband, cider for me) but everything else, including our son’s Coke, came from the pick up window. Our food was ready in just a couple minutes. I had the brisket with coleslaw and a cornbread muffin. The meat was flavorful and tender, and the coleslaw was almost perfect. The muffin wasn’t hot all the way through, and that was disappointing. My husband has ribs, brisket, and fries and a cornbread muffin. Our son had the brisket quesadilla, and after I tried a bite, I wished that I'd had that instead of my platter! I was glad we got there right when it opened, as the patio was already filling up as we left.

Really good BBQ. Wasn't sure what to expect, but the portions were nicely sized, especially for the price. I usually just get chicken tenders as a side to see how different restaurants make them and these were probably the best I ever had. Got the brisket, tenders and baby back ribs. To be honest, they were all very good and wouldn't be able to pick just one. The seating area is great, and nice beer options too. Convenient to the Angel Flight Railway (you can see it in my picture below). When back in town, definitely visiting this place again.

I loved it! I thought it was really good! Very tangy and delicious bbq sauce. Brisket was good and the ribs tips were very juicy. I thought the corn bread was a bit dry but everything else was fantastic!!!

Based on the last few barbecue places I’ve tried in LA, I thought there may be no hope for good barbecue. I’m from the south and I’ve tried barbecue from all over the south east. It can differ depending on where you are, but it’s all good! I decided to try this place after wandering around Grand Central market. It’s right next to it, but amazingly I’ve never noticed it. It’s a little pricey, just like everything is in LA but I have to say I wasn’t disappointed. My favorite barbecue meat is pulled pork and there’s was pretty good. Except, I prefer mine without being pre-sauced. I would get everything again besides the barbecue beans, they were a bit too saucy. Everything else was flavorful and fresh tender. So far, it’s the top barbecue that I’ve had in Los Angeles. I certainly will return to try more from the menu! Also, I really like the outdoor seating under the trees. Very relaxing and a great setting for eating barbecue.

Being from Fort Worth, TX I've had my fair share of bbq. I was excited to find Horse Thief by happy accident while visiting the Grand Central Market. Their current menu is not the one you find online. They didn't have burnt ends or turkey. The sliced brisket was really nice, I was impressed. It had a nice level of smoke and was tender. The fries were a disappointment but I'm not a fan of that style of fries. The coleslaw was not bad. Overall, I was pleased and felt it was a good amount of food for the money.

Had the two piece meat combo. Got brisket rib tips man n cheese with baked beans. Brisket was top notch. Also best bbq around. Decent prices with. Decent portions. Didn’t have to wait long and enjoyed the out door eating in the heart of downtown. It’s definitely worth trying. I highly recommend you get the brisket.

Delicious food, best beef brisket I've had outside Tennessee! Had it take away with coleslaw and sweet potato, it hit the spot and left me craving for more the rest of the day. If you're feeling like a delicious fix from the South, hit up Horse Thief BBQ.

Been here a few times over the last few years and generally always had a great experience. BBQ is great, especially for a random spot in downtown. Nice outdoor seating area in the shade, people are friendly, decent selection, decent sauce, good sides. We came once and ended up having a friend get a bit of glass in her Cole slaw, which the apologized for and told us was due to a bowl that broke that they thought they'd cleaned up. They gave us all free dessert, so eh...not too bad.

Good food and a cool atmosphere. There was some sort of game of thrones quiz event happening while we were there. It seemed like a regularly occurring event, and while I didn't really know what was going on, it seemed pretty neat

Solid BBQ. Brisket falls apart just right - a tad dry but the BBQ sauce fixes it right up. Pork belly is great. Sides aren't memorable. Love the outdoor patio style seating.

Came on a Thursday night and there was ample seating. Fast casual dining where you order at the bar and then pick up your food when it's done. They have a great beer selection. The guy at the bar was great and gave us very honest food and beer suggestions. Their ribs were soooooooooooooo good- just fell off the bone, was not try and soo tasty. A definite must try. This place is also dog-friendly, which is a huge plus in my books :)
