I'm in town visiting for the weekend and missed my anniversary, my husband called and ordered coffee and empanadas to have them delivered to me as a surprise. The barista went above and beyond and made a hand written "Happy Anniversary" card to include in the delivery. I am so impressed with their customer service and the food was delicious! Thank you!

Crisp and flaky crust, delicious fillings, and all of the empanadas are stamped on top with what they're filled with so no one can complain that they got the wrong flavor! The service at the West 3rd Street location is fast, friendly, and the restaurant itself is clean and organized. It's a nice place to get a handy snack to go.

Empanada 3 pack / carnitas, filipino beef, chicken + jalapeno - 5 stars! House made spicy chimichurri - 5 stars! Nonna's Empanadas started on 3rd street but a few years ago they left their original location and moved down the street to a larger and more spacious shop. It suits them very well. The new space has a big counter for displaying all their wonderful, delicious hand-made empanadas. I love how many options they have. I had to limit myself to three and it was very tough to choose. Each empanada was tasty and packed with filling. Their flaky dough is awesome. I love that they stamp the top with the flavor name. I kind of want to set aside a day to sample every single flavor. I don't know if that is a good or bad idea though. Probably a bad idea for my stomach would be my guess. Do not forget to ask for their house-made chimichurri! They have mild and spicy. You could put this on almost anything and it would elevate the meal. Fair warning - parking is a bit of a challenge for this location but be patient and circle around the block and you'll be rewarded with a spot.

When you do one thing, you can master it. Nonna's has done just that ... mastered the empanada! Such a great variety of of excellent flavors, both savory and sweet. Cheesesteak, Mac & cheese, samosa, mushroom, shrimp, Nutella, banana, and so many more. All are excellent!! Great prices, too!

My most favorite empanadas shop. I was walking from Rodeo to Beverly Center when I found this and of course I couldn't skip it. My most favorite are with chicken and philly steak. inside its very spacious and they even can warm your empanadas so you can eat there also they offer chimichuri sauce if you want non spicy just ask for one. Perfect bite on the go and they are not dry. chicken was very juicy.

Excellent array of flavors, both salty and sweet. The empanadas have the perfect amount of filling with great seasoning. I've had the guava and cheese before and this time I tried the shrimp one. Definitely recommend both.

Soooo tastey and real, wholesome ingredients! The savory and sweet are great. The Philly cheese steak is amazing. Chicken Alfredo was okay but my least favorite. The burger one was great. Nutella was my favorite sweet one!!

Nonna's offers an excellent selection of empanda choices be that sweet or savory and some vegetarian options as well. I recommend the cheeseburger, Carne asada, Mac and Cheese, carnitas, corn and quava and cheese. Make sure to get chimchuri sauce and plenty of napkins. My 10 year old really enjoys coming her and the slogan " the perfect finger food" fits.

Pretty damn good. Excellent selection. Savory, sweet, vegetarian. It captures Americana, Italian, Latin... Nonna's Empanadas really shows off the wide range of choices, allowing the Argentinian menu to show off it's bold take on diversity. The ingredients tasted fresh and wellbalanced in each empanada. Well worth the stop considering it won't break the bank. Nonna's Empanadas also has a cool chic vibe with simple, bold interior design.

I love empanadas and the fact that I found a vegan option was great. While shopping at the Grove in LA I stumbled across this in the farmers market. So many options for empanadas whether you’re vegan, vegetarian or a meat lover. So good I got some for my family as well. Options such as mushrooms, shrimp, chicken or more.

Amazing empanadas though on the pricey side. We also tried the sweet ones, Nutella and dulce de leche. They are big and well filled but they should be smaller for your sanity

Staff was nice and the empanadas were ok... I've definitely had way better. But it is what it is. They got our order wrong at first and was able to fix it without any issue... A bummer that they only have what's available in the display so if they're out they're out.

My wife found out this gem of a place and off we went for a Saturday Lunch !! The place is small, cafe Style, and you are welcomed by their delicious yet huge array of empanadas. We went with Chicken, Chicken Jalapeno, Mac n cheese, Beef, Veggie and sweet corn empanadas along with a side of spicy Chimichurri. The empanadas each come with the flavor stamped on it, which is pretty cute and helpful to differentiate between the various empanadas. To say they were delicious is an understatement. The flavor profiles were great and each one was unique. The spicy Chimichurri was a great accompaniment to the Empanadas and we thoroughly enjoyed it !! So much so that we ordered a to go of their Veggie, Mushroom, Shrimp, Philly cheese steak for dinner. Needless to say they were just as good. For dessert, we went with the Dulce de Leche and the Nutella empanadas, and they didn't disappoint either. Overall, an Empanadas paradise.

Sooo yum!! It's baked and not fried, best part!! I got the mushroom, it was filled so we'll, every bite had stuffing. Boo got the carne asada and loved it. Next time we will be trying the sweet empanadas and the Mac & cheese empanada. Can't wait!

The guava is super sweet, but tasty. The mushroom is nice and cheesy, and the chicken was filling. There were so many options. I wish I had room in my stomach to try more
