Classic Olveria Street place to grab tasteful Mexican food with handmade tortillas. I tried their pina agua Fresca which was perfect. My mom came her as a kid, and it's a great place to continue a simple Olveria Street tradition.
Quaint location, very nice, and the food is delicious. I got the chicken Verde salad. It came with homemade corn tortillas.
Cute quick bite to eat simple menu for people like me who take forever looking thru the whole menu 🤣
Very good tamales and guacamole.
My favorite place to eat in LA! The food is always fresh and delicious. I’ve been coming here for over 20 years and it has stayed consistent - welcoming with amazing food. Excellent food at a very reasonable price! :-) and it is right next to Olvera Plaza. And there are fresh homemade tortillas here! :-)

It's a nice restaurant. I visited it with my friends and we had taco rice and beans, chicken tacos and flan. All the dishes were delicious. The staff were also kind and friendly.
We have been here several times over the year. Each of our visits have been separated several months but the food has always been consistently excellent. The tamales are especially good. We consider ourselves a bit of flan connoisseurs and La Luz Del Dia has the creamiest and most delicious flan eve
