Bar Hayama - Los Angeles - Photo album

More than what we expected, everything was superb, went with family for the evening, sat beside the fire and my meal was more than delicious the Bento Box had much more than any other place we've ever been. Great experience.

If you are looking for a place to grab good, authentic Japanese food with great service and an original Sawtelle vibe, then Hayama is the place to be. Sit at the sushi bar with a 生ビール at your side and enjoy a great meal to cap off your day!
We really enjoyed our visit for the sushi-making class. We took the beginner class and were there for about 2 hours. We ate way more than our fair share of sushi (the money we would have spent on as much sushi paid for the price of the class). It was a small class-- just the 2 of us and 2 others. We
This place is a sleeper. Might be the best quality sushi I’ve had. The prices are amazing and the portions are large. Definitely get a combo. Amazing experience.
BYOB so make sure to stop at Blackbeard's across the street for some craft brews
Had lunch here with team members. The bento and the lunch specials are of good value. Everyone had a tasty meal overall. I would come back here again during the weekday.
We enjoyed the outside fire pit area. The sushi and sashimi were high quality and worth the price. Similar to Hide sushi down the street, but we appreciated that Hayama takes debit and credit cards, so this is our new favorite sushi spot for top quality sushi. Nice happy hour. Delicious sushi. Well priced. Comfy outdoor seating.
Great atmosphere, fantastic service, and delicious food. What more could you ask for? I eat here every time I’m in LA (usually before a redeye back east). The tuna sushi is great. The Roppongi and Crunchy Hayama rolls are awesome, and the Tuna Poke Hawaii is delicious. There’s an outdoor dining are

The food was amazing and the customer service was great. I brought acquaintances that didn't understand a lot of the food terms and one didn't know how to use chopsticks. They patiently explained everything and we had a great time.
Always delicious and fresh! The spicy tuna crunch roll is a thing of beauty. Great place for outdoor dining around the open fire pit, especially on a cooler night. Service is always professional and friendly though it can be a little slow on busy nights.
Favorite Japanese happy hour on the west side. And the main menu is delicious too. Excellent drink specials (beer, sake, shochu too!) and particularly great sashimi. After years in Japan, this place comes closest to tasting “like home”. Plus the servers are very friendly too!
Happy hour at this place rocks! $5.55 for appetizers and they've all been delicious so far, though the shrimp dumplings and spicy tuna on crispy rice are my faves! Can't beat the atmosphere on the patio with the firepit and the strings of lights overhead! I don't know why I don't come here all th
