Beautiful interior with friendly services, got here early on Saturday morning and it is a very relaxing place to be. Brazilian Moqueca Stew with king crab and shrimp is very good, excellent presentation and hitting all the right spot on flavor. Fantastic for Saturday lunch @pappysseafood . It is bit of drive but it is all good.
Out of everything on their menu the best things are the shrimp cake sliders and oysters during happy hour for a buck fifty. And if for some reason you haven't had lobster their lobster roll is packed with lobster meat.
I've been here twice already. First time was with a group of about 10. Service was great and good came out at a reasonable time. Everyone enjoyed their appetizers along with their main dishes. Yes, quite a bit is simply deep fried seafood, but generally very tasty. I had the whole fish, it was tilapia by the way. It was cooked perfectly and I found the crusty skin delicious. Second time I went was just myself and one other guy. We sat at a bar table this time. Service was again quick and attentive. I again had the whole fish because I loved it so much the first time. I'll attempt to actually try a different dish next time.... Maybe. I obviously recommend this spot. Aside from the delicious food, the decor and atmosphere/look is great. It's rustic with exposed brick, very cool. Definitely worth checking out.
Very nice place to have some good food, drinks and hang out in a light, bright, beautifully renovated historical building in the heart of downtown San Pedro. What a nice surprise. The staff was very attentive and courteous.
I really enjoyed the appetizers and beer here the other night. It's such a cool space and they've hit their stride on their food, everything I've had is really tasty. Highly recommend the hush puppies!
Pappy's has a great atmosphere and the lunch fish plates were very fairly priced. The ahi felt fresh enough, but I wish the blackened fish came with a little more seasoning. The chowder is nice and chunky and comes with a larger than average portion.
Servers were friendly and greeted us as soon as we came through the door. I was able to sample a beer before I bought it, which was really nice to me. Food was good.

This restaurant is beautiful! You wouldnt believe how bright and airy it feels inside, because it looks very dark and enclosed from the outside. The service was excellent and the food quality top notch. I had the fish tacos--on handmade tortillas, and my husband had an amazing clam chowder.
Our first visit was a hit. We came by Sunday evening around 5pm. Plenty of street parking and they were able to seat us right away. I ordered the Cobb salad, it was fantastic. The burger was great too, but not necessarily special. The lobster Mac though..... Excellent. Thank you, Pappy. We now have a new restaurant in our rotation! ❤️
Great place for fried fish, fish and chips and local beers. Enjoyed a mango beer that was refreshing and smooth.
Cool vibe, excellent seafood and salad options at fair prices and fantastic service. We sampled several items and impressed with all. Our server (Erin) was kind, funny, and helpful. Lovely meal at a great value. Recommend to anyone including families.
This is a nice seafood venue with a bar. Service was polite but slow. I went specifically for their sourdough chowder bowl special which is only $6 on rainy days - quite the bargain! Good chowder in a generous sourdough bowl. Clean restroom.
