Open early in the morning for breakfast. In Chinatown, an easy 5-8 minute walk from Union Station where we had a 1.5 layover. Not enough time to do the sit down dim sum cart breakfast, but plenty of time to order takeout and get back to the station. The pork steamed bun was the best I’ve ever had.
Ok to decent dim sum at a fair price. The service was incredibly fast, the tea was nice and hot, and the different dumplings were mostly alright. Honestly for its price I think its pretty fair, but just don't expect to be blown away by any of the food.

The only thing I miss when I worked day shift is having dim sum after work. And our go to place is CBS.
We go for the great food or else the cr@ppy attitude of the workers will surely turn you off.
Love their siomai, short ribs in black bean sauce, and yang chow fried rice. W
We had Dim Sum on a Sunday at 9:30am. We were seated immediately. We received our dim sum very quickly. We enjoyed the the the large baked bbq pork buns the most. Freshly made still warm and the buns were soft. Not the best dim sum but good enough.
I don't believe I have anything bad to say about CBS Seafood Restaurant. Visiting Los Angeles and thought this would be the perfect place to go. The price per items were very good compared to other places I have visited in my home town. I ordered (2) Steamed BBQ Pork Buns, Egg Rolls, Orange Chicken,
Great dim sum place in downtown LA. Service was fast and food was hot and steamy. We ordered a little too much for two people but it was worth it :) They have a menu to order from but also traditional push carts.
This place has a large sit-down restaurant for dinning in and a small take-out are for getting food to go. My favorite is the steamed BBQ bun. But you can't go wrong with anything from their large selection of food. The staff is nice too. They helped me order even though there was a language barrier
Accidentally came here looking for a different spot. Not disappointed. Tasty dim sum. I tried har gow, shao mai, and a baked and steamed bun. Lots of other dim and food choices.
After the change of ABC Seafood restaurant to just a to go store front. This as been my go to for dim sum in Chinatown LA! I've never had to wait more that 10 minutes to get seated and the dim sum carts are very attentive to the guests so getting what you want is as easy as asking if it's available
Cbs offers the typical Dim Sum menu and get this they even use a cart. It’s been a while since I’ve had dim sum but I absolutely love love it! Their menu is on the smaller side which I can appreciate!

First time in LA. By the end of the day, we found this restaurant. The crab meat with fish maw soup was very good, as well as the steamed bun Xiao Long Bao. Don’t not recommend the mixed seafood with eggplants from hot pot category if you don’t usually eat salted seafood.

PreCovid it's my go to for Dim Sum in Chinatown. But now, I get it to go. All the usual suspects are good here, har how, sui mai, et al. Prices have risen considerably but worth it as a once in awhile treat.

I had deep fried tofu and my guy who is not vegan like me had all the dim sums you can imagine.
He used to travel to Hong Kong in business and said that he thought for a while he was back there,because the dishes tasted just like he remembered.

This is a great go to spot for the dim sum carts. We were seated right away and a flood of carts came our way. The fried fish pictured here was delicious and I recommend the taro fuzz balls. We ordered a roasted pork dish and was a bit surprised with the 13.95 that tagged along. The meat was tender
Great dim sum, friendly staff, and the wait wasn't that bad later afternoon on a Sunday. Many locals eating there said they always come here.
We love coming here for dim sum for years. Now, with new ownership and the addition of soup dumplings, it becomes a go-to place in LA. San Gabriel may still have the best dim sum, but CBS is a closer drive with a good choice of freshly made dim sum.
