A real hidden gem in the valley. I have been to all French bistros in the valley and this is easily in my top two or three. Being that there are six that I know of it really is better than most. I love how it’s tucked just off Ventura Blvd so parking is easier and it feels more like a neighborhood restaurant that way. It’s small on the inside but the seating is really laid out well with lots of different booths and seating options. The menu is small but has a lot of great options. Tonight however I chose solely from the specials menu. I started off with the Bone Marrow appetizer and it was fantastic. The gravy they put on top of it really added to the flavor and made me want to order another. Honestly it was one of the better bone marrow appetizers I have had in town. For my entrée I chose the special for the night the Pacific Dory Grenobloise. Delicious sauce which I’ve had before, with one of my favorite fishes: the John Dory. It was cooked perfectly and was a great sized portion. Finally for dessert I topped it off with a Grand Marnier Soufflé and loved it. It was done perfectly and better than a lot of others I have had in town being that this is my favorite dessert so I order it as often as I can. Overall a fantastic meal in a very casual but classy environment. I would recommend to anyone dining in the valley, any fan of French bistros, or anyone looking for a great meal.

Great, traditional French food with great service.

We have enjoyed rediscovery of this lovely french restaurant. The staff is attentive, the ambience is delightful and the food is consistently delicious. We have been pleased and are repeat patrons.

Charming ambiance, George was friendly & informative, my beef bourgignon was delicious.

The salmon in coconut white wine sauce served with dark cherries is amazing. Complex flavor pairings on a plate totally unseen before coming here. The cream sauce they make for the soufflé is a labor not many restaurants go through it takes 36 eggs or so. The Marsala mushrooms and sweetbreads are another great traditional flavor to look forward to and try. The poached pear is very visually appealing. Everything here is made from scratch except the Ice cream I give this place 5 stars. A must try on Ventura that has existed since the 70s.

My wife and I were looking for a French Restaurant recently and found this gem. The food was absolutely divine! There isn't a single bad thing I could say about anything we ordered. The Owner is extremely friendly and the atmosphere was quiet and intimate. There is parking in the back as well which is a huge plus.

The decor is reminiscent of a chateau. It's warm, cozy, and inviting, with comfortable seating. Their menu has lots of French classics like bouillabaisse, beef bourguignon, and coq au vin. I ordered the scallops, and their Grand Marnier soufflé for dessert.My scallops were cooked perfectly, and the sauce with which it came was great. The mushrooms had great flavor too. I enjoyed the pastry shell as an addition to my meal because it was unique. Service was excellent, very attentive without being intrusive. Water and wine were both constantly filled, and they checked in on us a few times.
