I was using the restaurant for the first time and I was not too sure what to expect . I previously went to Jaipur on Pico but their consistent rude & unfriendly attitude made me try Nizam . My order was to go .
I ordered Chicken Tandoori, Chicken Tikka Masala , Samosas , Pakoras , Aloo Gobhi , ( 2 orders each ) ,rice and Garlic Naan .
Everything was very very good , tasty and decent portions for the price . I do not understand how others criticized the food as nobody can cook one day excellent food and the other day v bad one .
We and our guests loved it .
The lady I placed the order with & picked it up from was extremely nice & friendly . I think you still find restaurants who have great food & excellent customer service .
Definitely this would be our place for Indian food .
I strongly recommend it.
My husband and I have been doing to Nizam for their amazing lunch buffet for years. Not only is it affordable; the food is always fresh and tasty. In the photos below, you can see some of my favorite dishes on the plate featured: Chicken Tikka Masala, Saag, Saffron Rice, and Raita. I also LOVE their dessert, Gulab Jamun. The staff is always friendly and happy to see you (they definitely know us!) Plus, it is a great place to treat family and friends. We also enjoy the atmosphere and find the seating comfortable. Many fond memories have been made here and hopefully, will continue to be made.
For the past decade, I’ve been a loyal patron of Nizam Indian restaurant on Pico, and my fondness for this place only grows stronger. Whether it’s their delightful lunch buffet or a satisfying dinner, Nizam never disappoints. The hands-on involvement of the owners adds a personal touch to the dining experience. Their attention to detail reflects in the way they manage the tables and interact with guests. The cuisine at Nizam is a captivating blend of mild and unique flavors, making each visit a culinary adventure. I’ve never been a chicken eater myself, but my son can’t stop raving about their chicken dishes, and even my friends relish them. Nizam’s offerings strike a perfect balance, appealing to both Indian food enthusiasts and those new to the cuisine. It’s a gem that caters to diverse palates with its delicious and approachable Indian fare.
The place could have used a bit of a face lift, but the service and food were excellent!!! We ordered the mango lassi, mixed veg grill, Naan, rice, raita, baigan bartha for the main course and gulab jamuns for dessert. Parking was fairly easy to find that day we went because it was a holiday. All of that for an economical $52.00 including taxes in a post covid world in Beverly Jill's no less!!
we came from Washington state, my family decided to eat something lighter because we got tired of eating chicken and mutton almost every other day, we got veggie thali , so this was my first time in punjabi restaurant, and i can't explain my experience went so well, the service was great, the food was so yummy, specially with home made makhan . i wish i could just come every day to try different things but we had to go back, but will come back
Been coming here since 2010. One of my favorite places in LA! My colleagues and I would always come here for lunch from Culver City and always get in trouble for taking a long lunch! I love the flavors here. I’ve been to other Indian buffets as well but this one has a special place in my heart. Dunno how they make their saag corn but it’s addictive. Their aloo gobi, chicken tikka masala are all extremely flavorful. Seasonally they have the best mangos which you never see anywhere else. Service is always swift and attentive. Absolutely a gem.

A really good experience at this place, recommending everyone who is looking for some delicious indian (nizam) cuisine. Loved the customer service. Keep up the good work. And don't forget the indian Chai at the end. Cheers!
Finally!! So hard to find an authentic, normal Indian restaurant around here for some reason… after 2 disappointing visits to different local Indian restaurants it’s nice to find another good one in this city. Kinda surprising how hard it is to find a good Indian restaurant in LA … this one makes me list of good Indian restaurants in LA though :)
I am usually hesitant about trying food at Indian restaurants because I am very selective, but NIZAM has impressed me. It is a clear choice to go there, without any doubt. Their lunch or dinner options are excellent. I always leave satisfied, thinking that the food was exactly what I needed.
My wife and I love this place, our first date here 9 year I was under pressure to win her over and the meal surely made it for me
This place is a well maintained Indian lunch buffett, run by a family without outside workers. Very hygiene and neat. Serves best Mango Lassi and Lamb curry. Can see few beautiful idols and wall paintings around.
Our favorite local Indian spot. We recommend the bhindi masala and lamb vindaloo
Glad to have found this great little spot. Nothing fancy, but the service is good. The lunch buffet is totally worth the very reasonable price. I'm gluten-free and was able to enjoy most items on buffet and menu. Will visit again.
My husband and I love this buffet.
Not many Indian buffets after covid; happy this gem is still offering buffet. The naan is yummy. Loads of veg options, dessert, fruits, you name it.
The food is so good, it's my family's go-to Indian restaurant. The atmosphere is also great inside and I would suggest sharing lots of different dishes with your group to try as much as possible!
