Great sushi. Fresh fish. Friendly atmosphere and generally a good place for sushi lovers.
Great secret neighborhood hangout! So lucky to have this little gem nearby!
One of my favorite family owned restaurants in the valley. Chef Chris and chef tatsuki are awesome! Love their fresh sushi!
The standard by which I judge all sushi! Filling omakase and a different twist on each nigiri. Get ganja appetizer, dynamite, yoshi roll, and whatever's fresh.
The baked mussels are to die for!!!
Chef Hector is great
The sushi is so flavorful and service is wonderful too :)
As always everything was wonderfully fresh and tasty. salmon belly was my fav !
My favorite sushi spot in the neighborhood that always has tasty fresh food!
Great place. Been going there for over 15 years. Always fresh and delicious.
First sushi experience of my life at 12 years old. Now living in Japan and still no sushi comes close to Tatsuki.
Our favorite sushi restaurant!!!!
Best, Freshest Sushi EVER. Cute hole in the wall on the corner of a street people fly past every day. Walk inside and WOW. Wonderful prices, and some of the freshest, most delicious sushi I have ever encountered. The specials change daily, and the sushi chef is fun to talk to. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. Whenever I'm out in the LA Area, Tatsuki is on my todo list! Wish I could eat there more often. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed!!
Great food and even better service. Very freindly to a sushi newby, recomended roll was really good.
Cute and small sushi place. Always fresh and good affordable prices. Nice service...

Amazing sushi for very low prices. I know sushi and this blows most sushi places away. Much muc better than Brothers Sushi down the street. Just got back liquor license so go there now!
Best sushi by far. Been eating here for 12 years. Always consistent. Great prices. The best lobster hand rolls I have ever had!
Awsome sushi a must try, small and quant
Best sushi in the valley so far. Great atmosphere, reasonable prices for quality sushi. Definitely going back on date night!
we went here because the place we wanted to go to had a 45 min wait and I called here they said they didn’t so it worked out. I ordered a sushi roll and wanted to try the udon noodles. the broth was a little plain but the tempura on the side was tasty. the cooks/chefs were courteous and nice. the wait staff was also nice. overall we had a great experience
I liked it a lot. Definitely took my cravings of sushi and made them happy ! Their blue crab was tasty. There tempura was really yummy. The miso has a lot of flavor. I even went and got a california roll, was very filled
I came in here recently and was initially impressed. It seemed very cozy, as there was a long bar to sit at where you could watch the cook prepare the food.
The miso was excellent. It had terrific flavor and I was definitely off to a good start for this place so far. But it kind of went downhill from there. The tempura was good but it was nothing special. Just deep fried in batter. The dealbreaker though was the chicken teriyoki. The chicken tasted old and it didn't seem like it was completely cooked.
Overall, despite having high hopes for this place, it was pretty average.
Just ordered with Ubereats for dinner from here— it was amazing! I got the peppers for an app, the rainbow roll, and spicy salmon. It may be the best rainbow roll I’ve ever had. Super fresh and great flavor. The peppers had a really good flavor too.. moderately spicy. Highly recommend.
This place is the best sushi restaurant in the world. I’ve been coming here for over ten years and the chefs never fail to produce the most amazing flavors and exquisite rolls! On top of the outstanding food, their service is top tier and everyone is so nice! Highly recommend anyone to come here! My favorites are the firecracker and red dragon!
Came here for lunch today.
Everything was fresh, well prepared & delicious.
It's only a sushi bar, no tables. My only criticism was the music. Mostly pop oldies. Jazz or traditional Japanese would be better. Great, understated spot.
I can't say enough positive things about this micro, family-owned and managed sushi restaurant.
I make a point to stop there every time I'm in town.
Sit at the Sushi counter and interact with the chefs, they do a great job making recommendations and sharing their knowledge.
Must Try: firecracker roll, raw scallops and smoked salmon.
This place was amazing. Some of the most fresh, melt in your mouth fish I've ever had.. hopefully the quality continues & I will definitely come back 😋 The hot sake was pretty good too.
Ate at Tatsuki after work on a Thursday night. Looked like parking was limited.
Not too big of a spot, I recommend sitting at the bar. Ordered the omakase, which is where the chef chooses what to serve you. I thought it was a beautiful and varied selection of fish. Wish the chef would have explained what everything was, but the other people behind the bar were more than helpful in letting me know what something was when I asked. Shout out to Hector for explaining and being extra welcoming. Would definitely come back when I'm back in the area.
LOVE this place!! Recently discovered it and have been there at least once a week since. All of the food is so good, especially the Gorgeous Roll, gyoza, and beef teriyaki, the staff is so nice, and it’s super cute. Highly recommend!!
This place has always had consistency. Not the most outstanding but always good. My favorite from this place has stood the test of time. The Firecracker Roll!
The service here is always great! The sushi is very good and the cost is not too high.
Best sushi in town! Been going there all my life. Tatsuki is my father :)) So I may be a bit biased (at least I'm honest)! But I have been to a lot of other sushi restaurants (of course) and my honest opinion is Tatsuki Restaurant is in the Top 5 in terms of authentic Japanese — other competitors were more pricey and one was in Japan. And I've taken a number of my friends here and I've only gotten requests to go back. If you get a chance, go there when Tatsuki is working the sushi bar.
Update - Dec 2022. My father no longer works the sushi bar (he's retired after 50 years of being a Japanese chef), but my brother Naoki is an excellent chef, as well as Chris and Hector.
I recommend the salmon, fatty tuna, albacore, sawara (Spanish Mackerel), and if you get a chance, try to monkfish liver (ankimo).
You can't really go wrong with any of the sushi items, so it really comes down to a matter of preference.
This place is a gem. Peak consistency on the quality of fish and the way they prepare it. I’ve been there a hundred times and it’s never wavered, not once. (Unlike pretentious brothers sushi a couple blocks down the street with a “Michelin star” that literally doesn’t nearly stack up to Tatsuki)
A+
Another solid, delicious restaurant on Ventura Blvd. The sushi are fresh. Great lunch menu.
Simply excellent sushi. Rice was perfect, fish was scrumptious. What else do you need.
We were headed to So Sushi but they were not open yet unbeknownst to us so we headed back towards Woodland Hills. Ive driven by this place hundreds of times which has been in business for many years so we decided to stop in. Im always hesitant about trying new sushi places. They did not disappoint. My sashimi was tender, food was abundant including soup not pictured which came with lunch special B and the salmon was very light. The sauce was not sticky or gooey like some terriyaki. We really enjoyed it. My son has decided that this is his new favorite spot. He had the spicy tuna roll and shrimp tempura roll We will be back soon. The service was fast and attentive. They only have street metered parking but we found a spot easily.
