Love everything about this place
The food is fresh and delicious.
Stalked the plates at tables nearby, wanted to eat everything I saw.
Friendly low key service with knowledgable staff.
If I lived in the neighborhood I would eat here all the time.
I came from the Valley for this food adventure.
Loved it!
Jim, Emily, and I had a scrumptious dinner here during our recent visit to LA. then a few days later Jim and I had a delicious breakfast, as well. The watermelon Agua Fresca was refreshing, the food worth our 30 minute wait for them to open, and to top it all off the personnel was delightful.
I absolutely love the food. I have gone several times already! For entrees I have tried the mole, the tlayuda and the burrito. The guacomole is so fresh. I am very picky with Mexican restaurants because my mom cooks authentic Mexican cuisine. This restaurant has blown me away and restored my trust in Mexican restaurants. I 100% recommend this place!
By far the best best best tacos I've had...Mexican food the hipster way lol
Authentic Oxacan food with a great price point. The mole and handmade tortillas are sublime.
Simply the best Mexican food and everything is made from scratch . 😋
I have literally not had Quality Mexican food in a great, clean restaurant in a good location with superb customer service in Los Angeles! It is either you sacrifice one for the other. Well at least my experiences looking for great Mexican food, the last few years. This place is definitely #winning in all aspects. Especially the staff, they are so pleasant. I ordered the chilaquiles with chorizo spicy & the tamarindo ! And it was life y'all! Like my whole existence was validated in each bite ! It was so good. Check them out if you haven't already.
Enjoyed the food and learning more about Oaxacan food! The service was great. The tlayudas are amazing and the mole was quite tasty! Definitely coming back when I’m in LA again.

Tried it out for the first time and I have to say I'm very impressed... Service was excellent and the food was so good i got some to go! The coffee on ice with horchata is a must!
Besides the restaurant being one of the best Oaxqauen restaurants in L.A., their catering was incredible!
My best friend from London is coming into town tonight and of all the restaurants I took him to last time, the one that stuck in his mind and he can’t wait to have as soon as he lands is Tlayuda L.A. Restaurant by Laura Guerrero He has not stopped talking about the mole sauce for over a year!!
Checked out this new spot today and LOVED it! Tried the tortas and they were AMAZING. all of their salsas and hot sauces were delicious, different levels of heat for every person. Fresh made blue corn chips. And the owner Laura was so sweet she told us all about everything on the menu. Need to get back and try more asap!
The service was wonderful and so nice and the food was somehow even better. The Torta Oaxaqueña was so delicious and so filling! I just wanted to keep eating. Their made in house drinks were delicious as well, especially their hibiscus drink!
La comida es deliciosa pero el servicio horrible, fui el domingo al mediodía y la mesera es muy prepotente y déspota, me gustaría regresar pero con diferente mesera
Everything here is so delicious! I can't wait to get hungry again so I can come back!
Fantastic food, and great Aguas Frescas! I had the Torta Oaxaqueña, and they did a good job on making the order to my taste. The Mint Cucumber Lemonade is fresh, and a bit on the sweeter side. They have a variety of salsas...the Habanero sauce being their spiciest for anyone who likes things on the hotter side.
We were served quickly and the waiter was kind and kept up with our requests and needs.
The restroom is clean and so was the eating area, which I believe shows that they care about their customers.
I will definitely be coming again with more family!
Tlayuda is such a gem in LA, and so glad I got to try them a few days ago. I was pleasantly happy and content all around. First of all, loved the decor of bright blue walls with art all around. Has a very warm and welcoming feel. The service was also great! Had the pleasure of meeting Susie and Ana, which were both very friendly and helpful. Susie came around regularly to make sure I was ok or if I needed anything at all. I had asked some questions about the food and Ana, the cook, was happy to explain. They were both very sweet and added to the pleasant experience I had with my meal. And the food was all just as good as everything else; very flavorful and good. And love that they have veggie and vegan options as well. I truly enjoyed everything that I ate here. This is what I had:
Blue corn chips with guacamole and salsa: I’m not used to blue corn chips, so this was a nice touch. Plus the salsa had a good spicy kick, and the guacamole was very tasty.
Two tacos, one veggie and one vegan. Veggie taco made with grilled zucchini, onion, mushroom, bell pepper with cheese and avocado: The veggies were all perfectly cooked and seasoned and the strips of Oaxacan cheese on top gave it a tasty touch with the avocado. The vegan taco was made with chipotle marinated hibiscus flower with avocado: This was my first time having hibiscus flower in a taco and it was sooo deliciously good! I would definitely have it again.
Veggie breakfast burrito stuffed with eggs scrambled with tomato, onion, Serrano pepper and potato fried with cheese: This was also really good. Loved the potato fried with the cheese that was inside, and the flavors were all really good together. The two sauces that came with the burrito were also very yummy and had a nice spicy flavor.
Aguas frescas of hibiscus flower, tamarindo, horchata, brewchata (horchata with coffee), and mint cucumber lemonade: All were good! They were refreshing and went nicely with the food. And I had never had horchata mixed with cold brew coffee, so that was a nice surprise that I enjoyed. Not to mention they have non dairy horchata also. You really can’t go wrong with any of the aguas frescas that they have, or the food really either.
I will definitely return soon and recommend them to anyone that wants good food, specially Oaxacan. I would eat everything that I had here again, and also eyed a few other things on their menu that I must try next time. Can’t wait to! I also happily realized that they’re on my Postmates for delivery, so I’ll be sure to order delivery next time also🤤🤤
My first time at this restaurant, n I'm definitely coming back. I had a Tlayuda n vegan horchata. Both delicious 😋
Service was quick, place is small, clean n friendly staff
I found the meat to be very salty.
We ordered a tlayuda supreme with the three meats. I tried to eat it as is but it was too salty and the pizza just kind of fell apart. The way the meats just lay on the pizza makes it tricky.
The memelita was like a giant sope which I did enjoy. We ordered it with meat which was just a slab. It would’ve been easier to eat if the meat was chopped up.
The lemonade was good though we cut it with water to stretch out the sugars. The salsa was fantastic.
I’d return again but I’d get the tlayuda with one meat. The service was good. I’d come back with adjustments to make my meal better suited for my buds.
They did not honor their free chorizo taco with check-in. I was initially upset but after the salty meats got to our table I was happy we didn’t get those tacos.
WOW! The staff, the food, everything is just great! I went at lunch time on a Tuesday. Service was SUPER fast and the restaurant was quiet. I loved the mild red sals on the breakfast burrito and the huevos rancheros. Breakfast is served all day, which is awesome. You can tell the staff really cares about the food quality, too. I will definitely be back. I'm obsessed!!! Great for the health-conscious too. Many vegan and vegetarian options.
Must try this women owned and operated hidden gem, located in East Hollywood! Tlayuda serves up fresh, homestyle Oaxacan cuisine. Got to try all three aguas frescas and all of them were so refreshing and delicious. I started with the breakfast burrito which is stuffed with eggs, tomato, onion, serrano, potatoes, cheese and salsa. I tried a variety of tacos as well. Tortillas are handmade in house which I love.
l discovered this hidden gem called Tlayuda LA at 5450 Santa Monica Blvd.
Really authentic Mexican food experience (inspired by Oaxacan cuisine) - their tacos are enchiladas are amazing as well as sauces and different aguas (soft drinks). I’m coming back to try their famous Tlayuda! It’s women owned and operated and the service is really great. The owner Laura is super sweet and created a truly amazing restaurant with a home made feel. Highly recommended for everyone who loves great food 🤗
decent service the tlayuda with three meats with good flavor and delicious horchata water.
I have had Tlayuda LA on my saved list for a few years now. While I was in the area looking for some lunch, I found Tlayuda again and knew I had to go.
They have a nice intimate dining area with lots of art all around. Their menu offers up a variety of Oaxacan style dishes such as the Tlayuda (a kind of pizza), tacos, specialty dishes and a variety of vegan dishes!
I’ve had my eye on the Tlayuda for ages, so I knew I had to try the Tlayuda Supreme. It came on a thin crispy tortilla (it reminded me of a lavash) covered with black bean puree, veggies, Oaxacan cheese, and topped with beef, pork and chorizo! It was deliciously flavored and the meat toppings were very tasty.
Super cool spot, glad that I was able to try such an unique dish. I heard their mole is also really good, so I hope to try it next time. If you haven’t had a Tlayuda before, now’s you’re chance to try!
The food here is so good and the staff is super friendly. Highly recommend the molé it’s my favorite thing on the menu.
Everything is really good and they have vegan and veggie options so you can really satisfy everyone’s dietary needs.
