Been in Pedro for more than 12 years & never tried this place. My son loved it & I had every intention of eventually trying it out. My daughter came for a visit & chose this place to eat. She ordered the chicken wrap & absolutely loved it! She said it was flavorful & fresh & that the lady who runs it was really sweet & friendly, she even got a hug! I didn't get anything this time, but I will definitely be giving them some business in the near future!

I think this was were I tasted my first Lebanese food. At first I was skeptical but eventually my opinion of the food changed. It's pretty good and they set it up on the plate to look nice. Although I like some things more than others, I think the chicken seems to be the best, although one time I ordered a lunch special and got three pieces of chicken kabob which was the least satisfying because for two dollars more I could've gotten full with a plate of chicken shawerma.

Just popped in with my wife before a whale watching trip. So awesome food, best lamb kofka Ive ever had, nothing to look at but go for the food, outstanding.

So amazed with this place!! The food was so so delicious!! I don’t really write reviews but this is too good not to! Perfect flavor, perfect amount of food, I can’t be happier that we found this restaurant!

This is a family restaurant. It's the only place I've found in San Pedro that has Middle Eastern fare. My go to dish is the chicken kabob plate which comes with a bed of pilaf, medium spicy pepper (Anaheim?), grilled red onion garnish, hummus, pita bread, and a small salad. While the restaurant has tables and chairs, I regard it as primarily a take-out establishment. Call your order in about 15 or 20 minutes ahead so it's hot off the grill when you get there.

I’ve lived in San Pedro my whole life and passed by this place over and over. The location isn’t prime for a random person to just come across this gem. BUT this place is 🔥. The food here is just on another level. If you’re craving Lebanese food, or just want some Kabobs, don’t bother going to the large chain competition.
I ordered a Jallab, rose water, and was pleasantly surprised. More of a dessert drink since it’s pretty sweet. I also ordered the veggie plate, since I wanted to try a bit of everything. And it was all delicious. Will definitely come back and will definitely recommend.

I was a regular here until I moved out of town. The vegetarian grape leaves, baba ganoush, chicken shawerma, chicken soup and baklava are better here than any other Lebanese restaurant I've ever visited. Such incredible food. The owners treat my parents and I like family when we come in. This place is a hidden gem.

They have the best rice in town, and the shawarma (both beef and chicken) is wonderful! And I love how Nazalie and her family and staff always remember my name when I stop by or call in an order.

This spot has my favorite fattoush salad in the LA area. Whenever we're in San Pedro we always make sure to stop by. Everything is super fresh and flavorful.

I’m from Cleveland Oh, but I was looking for some good vegan/vegetarian food. I read the reviews and most were very positive but ther were a few who seemed dissatisfied. I guess you can’t please everyone but I came twice during my two weeks here in California and I was very pleased. I highly recommend if you want good, fresh whole food that’s flavorful and nutritious!!!

The owner is an amazing person. By the time I left, I felt like I made a new friend. Food was super authentic! Everything you would expect from a true authentic cuisine restaurant and more. Can’t wait till I come back.

Delicious food, as always.
Surprised that the shrimp kabob now comes with only five shrimp, versus six a few years ago...
Admire and promote this outlet of distinctive food from the East Mediterranean area (SW Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, and adjacent countries in the region). HTH.

Incredibly flavorful and fresh. I love that Lebanese has elements of both Greek and Persian food. They make great coffee but it's not on the menu so you need to ask.

This place is fantastic! Went here recently while visiting SanPedro and it was absolutely excellent. We tried the Baba Ghanoush, Chicken Kabob Sandwich and the Falafel Sandwich! Everything was so delicious and satisfying! The guy who took our order and prepared it for us was very friendly and funny. Another man, who I took to be the owner, told us jokes and gave us advice; it was a perfect Father's Day meal when neither of us had Fathers to celebrate with. Thank-you so much for sharing the funny story of your Honeymoon with your wife back in Lebanon, along with all the other jokes and advice on saving that we will continue to cherish for years to come.
You told us to make ourselves at home and we truly felt the comfort of our own home here.
Highly recommended; we'll definitely be back.

Good Lebanese Food in the Harbor Area. I have been trying to get to as many of the San Pedro restaurants as possible and this one has been on my list for a while. My wife was willing to join me for lunch today so I ran through the reviews of restaurants on my wishlist. Nazelie's had a good rating overall and we both enjoy Mediterranean food so we thought we would give it a try. I was a little concerned because of two reviews, one from a person complaining about not being served because of animal fur on his clothes (my wife thought that was a good sign), and the second from someone who was not happy with the food. Despite these negative comments, and because of the other positive reviews, we decided to have a Sunday lunch at the restaurant. We were both exceptionally pleased. All of the ingredients seemed fresh and everything we tried was flavorful. The hummus and salad appetizers were very good. The hummus seemed freshly made and had a nice texture. The salad was very fresh with a very tasty dressing. My wife and I shared a Chicken Shawerma entree and a Chicken Kabob entree. Again it was all very fresh and flavorful. Both dishes were tasty with subtle seasoning that added to the flavor without overpowering it. Overall, we were very happy with the food. The restaurant itself was clean and well kept up. The husband and wife who operate the restaurant were both present and they were very friendly and helpful. All around, I would say this is an excellent choice if you are looking for good Lebanese food in the Harbor area.

Go anywhere else!. I am from Sacramento, California. i am 57 years old and have been eating middle eastern food my entire life. probably about 20 different restaurants, falafel stands, etc. Nazelie's Lebanese Cafe is unquestionably the worst food i have ever eaten at a middle eastern restaurant. what follow is my evaluation. by the way, the atmosphere did not bother me at all.

hummus - tasted like it was out of a can. i know - i have eaten hummus out of a can. throw some olive oil on it, some parsley - but it still tastes like mealy crummy paste.

tabouli - may have been good once, but this was at least 36 hours old.

chicken kabob - no one marinated the chicken! so what was the point?

falafel sandwich - the falafels were mealy, the entire sandwich was cold.

if the above reviews are not faked, then i can only assume that the person who was supposed to be cooking was sick. i did not see "Nazelie" until we were done with our meal. so maybe she showed up late?

this restaurant is horrible. if you are from San Pedro and you have never tasted decent middle eastern food go somewhere else. you will be pleasantly surprised.

The food here is really authentically good. Found it using urbanspoon and was not disappointed! Definitely worth a try if you're looking for a small, family-owned dining experience.

Doctor. I have a little dog. I lift him up when he gets tired of walking, so a few of hishairs get on my jacket. I went to dinner at Nazelie's Lebanese Cafe one evening. When Jack, the owner, noticed that I had a few hairs on my jacket, he refused to serve me. Several weeks later, I tried going there to eat again. Just as before, I had a couple of hairs on my jacket, and he again refused to serve. me.

To all animal lov ers, a piece of advice: save yourself the embarrassment of being refused service, and eat elsewhere.

Dr. Joseph Adan, Ph.D.

Love the Shawerma. Best shawerma in L.A. you must try it. I will be back for more.

Food fan. Wow what a pleasent surprise! This place is fantastic, with food that is flavorful, tasty and cheap. The Owner and her Daughter run the place and they make you feel like you are at home. The food is similar to Zankou chicken [which I love]; however Zankou can not hold a candel to the flavor that Nazelie's puts in her chicken. Worth the drive, check it out!
