My husband and I have been there several times and food is always great. I would give the restaurant 5 starts if staff was more welcoming. If you go for the food you will not be disappointed!
The "omakase" is awesome! Must try the uni/ikura chawanmushi! Friendly and attentive wait staff eager to help! The owner is funny too! :-)
Very slow service and didn't communicate well. But got a thoughtful response on Google reviews here straight from the restaurant. Sounds like they just had a tough night with unexpected activity in the middle of covid. Moving my review from three stars to four stars

Very tasty high quality sushi. Some of the best service I've ever had. Not a fan of the cucumber salad, but it was definitely an interesting experience. Favorite was the kuro dai (black snapper). Picture is the halibut.

Food was definitely amazing! However, my experience was ruined by people who chose to dine there in their sweat drenched gym clothes! The smell of the sweat ruined the amazing food experience. There should be some rule that prohibits sweaty gym clothes people from dining there just as cell phone us
Restaurant food! Got a bite here in between a stop at The Last Bookstore and a trip to the Grammy Museum. The hand rolls are so simple and flavorful. I was only in town for a few days. Sure wish we had somewhere like this at home.
