Everybody knows that Porcini as a restaurant offers wonderful food and impeccable service. It's a well oiled machine comprised of individuals who truly care. Whether it be the owner, management, the hostess, chef, sautee person, grill person, desert person, dishwasher or server staff; they all care to give you a wonderful experience. As a family, every single one of those people just makes my life better. Thanks porcini crew. I sure do love you guys. 💟
Excellent service and intimate atmosphere. My husband and I ate here while visiting Louisville and I have to say it was excellent. The food was fresh and flavorful. It was hard to decide what to choose from the menu but we ended up with a Caesar salad and Giampalo pizza. I added grilled chicken to my salad and it was flavorful and not dry at all. The pizza toppings were fresh and we were unable to finish it as we were so full. I will definitely come again when I am in town.
My favorite Italian restaurant I've found since moving to the Louisville area from NY. Their menu has something for everyone and the food is cooked to perfection and presentation warm and inviting. The dessert we had on our first visit was a chocolate bourbon layer cake that was to die for! We have not been lucky enough to bump into it again. Go, you'll enjoy it!

All four of us had something different and liked what we had and the staff there was super friendly, our server very good and the atmosphere very nice! Will go back again for sure!

After living here a couple years I finally got to check out Porcini’s and man am I kicking myself that I didn’t do it sooner. First off it’s right off Frankfort Ave, one of the best areas around Louisville I feel; where everything from the small shops to the greenery just make it feel and look so much better than a lot of the more urbanized area. And obviously the food and service inside match everything I was led to believe and more. the server we had was very attentive and fun to talk too; making it feel less than his job, and more of something they truly enjoyed doing. And clearly this same feeling was shared with the BOH because everything that came out tasted amazing. I certainly won’t be waiting this long again before going back my second time.
I ordered the 'Vitello Alla Griglia' (Rib chops), and my husband had steak. Both dishes were delicious, but we found them to be overrated for $50. I’ve had better. If they were priced at $35-40, we would have no complaints. We also tried the dark chocolate mousse.
The food here was amazing. I had the vegetable risotto with grilled shrimp and it was one of the best risotto dishes I have ever had. The service was professional and out waiter helped us pick dishes that we liked since this was our first time here. The atmosphere is lovely and parking was not s problem. Just make sure to make a reservation through Open Table like we did. Overall a wonderful experience and we can't wait to dine here again!
Fantastic place. We dropped by after the Kentucky Derby. It was crowded but we got a seat at the bar.
Bar staff took excellent care of us.
The food was superb. I wish I had enough superlatives to describe the food, but I do not. Best I can advise is if you are in town make sure you go.
Amanda H. Was our sever for our anniversary dinner. I honestly can’t recommend her enough. Not only was she personable but also enthusiastic about the menu selection which influenced what we got and it was fantastic! We really enjoyed having her be apart of our celebration.
The lamb chops, surf and turf and mussels were some of the best we’ve ever had. Complements to the chef.
I would highly recommend if you have her as a server be open to her suggestion's she’s a foodie with an appreciation for what the chef does well.
A long-time Louisville resident told me this was his favorite restaurant. Now I know why. Great caprisi salad. Even better calamari. Also, the place has a great vibe and excellent servers. FYI, photos were taken after I had already consumed a portion of the item. My bad.

Great place. Amy was the best and the food and service was immaculate!! Tim the owner is focused on customer satisfaction and shows that by being on the floor and available! Chris and team made a dish that wasn’t on the menu for me and again the wonderful experience.
The food is really exquisite, they treated us wonderfully, they were very friendly, the place is spectacular, very romantic for a romantic dinner, just as I had planned for my anniversary.
