Went in for an early dinner and was amazed by the quality. Started with cornbread and biscuits with the perfect honey butter that melts in your mouth . Our appetizer: Fried green tomatoes was delightful, unique cornbread batter and topped with greens that were lightly drizzled with spicy vinaigrette. I had the grilled watermelon salad topped with salmon while my daughter had the bow tie pasta with goat cheese and vegetables. The service was impeccable, down to our server replacing our silverware after the first course. Well Done Sway! Will definitely be back! (Ask for Linda she is an amazing waitress)
While doing the bourbon trail, my wife and I were looking for a great place to start the day. The breakfast is great, Belgian Waffles crisp and light, and the pancakes taste like Krispy Kreme in pancake form. The breakfast potatoes and eggs were excellent, they really put effort into providing great food. Our server Kathy was the nice and engaging though out our visit and offered great suggestions and insights into the area. It really was nice, we were surprised to get such a great breakfast from within a hotel. It was so good, we went back the second day for a replay.
Greatest Shrimp and grits I've ever had in Louisville, best Fried chicken I have had in Louisville, and mashed potatoes too, breakfast buffet is a can't miss, definitely worth the price.
I brought a group of 20 ladies to Sway for our monthly Fillies, Inc Lunch Bunch event and we were beyond pleased. The customer service was absolutely outstanding and the food was beyond heaven! We all had a beautiful time and we highly recommend Sway for your group events or personal dining. Thank you Sway!
It was a lovely evening for dinner at Sway. My friends and I had three different menu items and each was delicious. Try the fried chicken, you won't be sorry.
Sheer deliciousness! I've never had fried green tomatoes. The server encouraged me to try some. They were sooooo good! Everything I ate was great!

There food is fantastic, we're looking forward to come by again this week.
The food is SUPERB! The staff are also very helpful and make you feel right at home. Sway definitely is the best kept secret in Louisville! (Which we need to let everyone know about)
Great Southern Food. Was an oasis when in town and my Mom was sick.

Thanks for a great week while at the IAAP conference
The best tonight at The Taste of Louisville! Loved it.
Nice spot. excellent Food and service
Went here for the first time for Oaks Day date night. The service was impeccable and the food was amazing. There was only one complaint about anything that was in our group, the mashed potatoes were a bit dry for his liking. The prices were better than I expected, but by no means cheap. Definitely will go back for another date night, maybe brunch.
Chef Gray, Fatou, Alex, and Michelle worked tirelessly together to create the most memorable birthday for my son. He was turning 7 and only wanted Sway for his birthday. He's been going there consistently since he was 4, and is always treated with kindness and respect. We have always loved sway, but we were not expecting the above and beyond level of service they provided for our son on his birthday. He felt like the most special person there! His food arrived hot and tasty, the whole order was correct and arrived in a timely fashion (as always) and chef came out to sing him happy birthday and delivered a Hyatt rubber duck for his collection! We will never stop frequenting this establishment, the quality of service and food excellence has remained the same, consistently, for the many years we've been going. Their vegetarian options are impressive and they have, hands down, the best fries in the city! Alex is always all smiles when we are there and Fatou has been our favorite waitress for 3+ years, she always takes care of us! We feel like family and always recommend Sway to new friends, old friends, and family!
Sway is hands down one of the best restaurants in downtown louisville. The fried chicken is magical and the mashed potatoes are to die for. We are always served by Fatima who is just an overall amazing server who makes us feel like family. Definitely a must try if you're a local or visiting the city
The waitress was super nice, and had really great service! (I believe her name was Linda) she was very helpful. The restaurant was really nice, and had a great atmosphere to it. The set up was really impressive. I felt like I was eating at a really up scale type of restaurant. The place does not have it's own parking so you will have to park at a meter, or a parking garage. And I will say that it's handicap accessible. The food was pretty good. I give it a 7 and a half out of 10.
Although this might take away from the classiness of the restaurant, I kinda wish they had a few pictures on the menu so a individual can have a idea of what some of the item look like before you order them. Also I hate using cloth towels. I would have preferred paper napkins on the tables. Overall I would love to go back and try some of the other different things that they have. As far as the prices: I have no idea because I didn't pay for the food. Someone treated me out to eat. I definitely would recommend this place to others to go try out. It is a really nice restaurant, and I will be back.
Wow! What a great experience in a classy setting! The service was a bit slow due to staffing (that is happening everywhere right now), but the tasty food and wine more than made up for it. Plus i was able to watch football while we waited. The menu is simple and very tasty, and the chef was ON POINT with the medium cooked steak! You have to try the RIBEYE or the SHRIMP N GRITS.....you will not be disappointed. Perfect meal for a perfect evening.
Was in my hotel and wanted food before concert had the fried fish and my friend had hush puppies the peace drink is soo good. Kinda sweet but good
Christmas Day 2019 Afternoon Dinner for Two
This has been the first time in quite awhile that I was home for the holidays and I started searching in October for restaurants which were serving Christmas Day and came upon Sway so I made reservations for 3:00 December 25th for two. First of all, we were the only guests dining from 3:00 till 4:00; however, they had been busy up until then. There was the bartender doing the bar, serving and placing orders so for us it worked very well. We shared an order for Fried Green Tomatoes which were excellent! Followed by a Summer Berry Salad and a KY Salad. Shrimp N' Grits for my husband and I had the Veggie Burger and House Made Chips. Everything was delicious. We had no idea what to expect and were very happy with our dining choices.

Very tasty food. Great Old Fashioned. Terrific atmosphere.
Drinks were great. Great southern fried chicken. The ribeye would have been better if cooked as ordered - mid-rare, rather than rare - but was OK. The greens and broccoli were tasty. The mashed potatoes were pretty good, too. I'd say this restaurant is a solid 3.5 to 4 stars out of 5.
Connected to the Hyatt. Very good flavours. Known for its bourbon and fried chicken. I had the salmon. Very flavorful and served with seasonal veggies. The staff are very friendly. Sway even accommodated the Adventists visiting for GYC by preparing a new vegan menu with a wonderful cashew sauce pasta, among other thigs. Very nice atmosphere.
I love the feel of this place, has been a great place for a date twice with my wife. You will spend some money here but it is the asking price is not unexpected or offensive. The food is well prepared, the drink offerings are good, and the service has always been friendly and superb. Important to me is the fact that within one single location, there are about five different areas with different moods (check my pictures): eating on the sidewalk among the bustle of the crowd walking to and fro but at a good distance away, open air looking out into the street but within the building, at a bar with a hotel lobby as a backdrop, a private and quiet dining area with minimal disruption, or a bungalow style exquisite dining table near to a community of happy guests with a massive indoor ceiling of the hotel to look up to for inspiration. Will definitely return to again.
Short staffed but service didn't suffer. Had the wedge salad and Nashville hot chicken sliders, food was great. No complaints and would eat here again.
