Been coming here for years. How do I even start? My wife and I started coming to this location about 3 years ago and have never once been disappointed. We always start off with some fresh appetizers, and freshly brewed Hefeweizen. We'll usually enjoy the outdoor patio and people watch. Then we move on to their incredible main course dinner entrées. We love their beer so much it was even featured at our wedding. You really can't go wrong with anything you choose off the menu. We'll always be loyal patrons here. Hope all the other locations are just as amazing as this one.
Had the kobe burger was excellent. Husband had chicken breast was really good too. Garlic fries are great very strong flavor. Had blue crab and artichoke dip. Very good flavor.

Stopped in there for lunch yesterday. Food was excellent, my strawberry soda drink was great. My husband loved his beer. Wish I remembered the name of our server, she was exceptional.
Server was so much fun and engaging! Had lunch with the family and enjoyed a couple drinks. Had the lobster and shrimp mac & cheese! Loved the bow tie noodle twist to it!

We visited yesterday and while I am a local, it was my first time eating there. First of all, our waiter was phenomenal. He was friendly and did his job with ease and perfection. Our food was great, especially the garlic fries. Will come back again, enjoyed our first experience.
Was expecting a standard pub/brewery but got a very nice sit down restaurant. This place is way nicer inside than we expected. Quaint little booths with lamp lighting. The layout is very well done with multiple levels. A great spot for a date night. The food was great too! Came on Friday during lent and got the salmon and also the fish tacos. The salmon was probably some of the tastiest fish I'm ever tried. Seasoned to perfection. And the fish tacos were done well also. Will definitely be coming back. Try the Bavarian Pretzel as an app. It's giant and perfect for two people.
There were three of us. Everyone’s food tasted great. Nice environment on 4th street live. Burgers, fish, tacos, pizzas, etc.
My wife and I had an enjoyable time here. She was hoping to get Poke, but they were out of all the ingredients. We were able to find something else to order, and it was also delicious. Our server did a great job checking in on us to make sure everything was great. I'd definitely recommend coming here again.
Update from before: we came back on 12/26/23 and had another good experience. Beer was great as usual and the food presentation was perfect. Preston was our server. They did a good job, you could tell they were a little short staffed but it did not disappoint.
(Original)We lost our local GB in Columbus, Ohio. When we came to Louisville, we didn’t know it was here but when we stumbled upon it, we weren’t disappointed. The menu is smaller than it used to be, but what they did have was great. And the beer? Outstanding as always. Try the Golden Export and the Marzen. Always good service, too.

Had a beer and soup yesterday! It only cost 14.64 and I sat in the store for two hours. The lady who served me did not rush me to pay. The service attitude was very good. When I woke up this morning, I found that I put my credit card in the store because the store only opens at 11 o'clock on Sundays. But I arrived at the door at nine o'clock and a clerk answered the phone and found my credit card. After confirming my ID card, he immediately returned it to me! I was very touched by their service attitude! Worth recommending to tourists!
Stopped in for a quick drink and some appetizers. The bourbon peach smash was delicious! Had Garlic fries and chicken tenders, both super fire.
Perfect! That counts for pretty much everything. The various beer have a very good taste all on their own and the food is amazing. It's so fresh and just perfectly seasoned! Plus we got a nice table where we were able to look into the kitchen. Our waiter was a bit quick when talking, other than that very helpful and kind.
Food tasted good. Beer was great! I had the Märzen and the Schnitzel. The Schnitzel could have been a little bit thicker/bigger though. The sauce and the mashed potatoes were great!
We were in town for daughters cheer events, it was also my birthday. I was happy to get back to GB, since we don’t have a location in Indiana. The Marzen is good as it has always been !! I was disappointed that they have removed most of traditional German items from menu, not even a pork chop (reason for 4 stars)! Food is very good, staff are very helpful and attentive.
We had an AMAZING time here! Wound up at GB on accident and was so glad we did. Tasty reasonably-priced food (had the Chicken and Mushroom Pasta), really fast service, friendly employees, and wonderful atmosphere! While there are other nationally known chain restaurants close by, this is a local spot we will remember from our time in Louisville. Loved it, highly recommend!
Also, try the Hefeweizen. It is best I've had and I'm from a very German-beer loving city (Cincinnati, OH).
